Spock was making an analogy to salmon so the idea that Vulcans must return to Vulcan could just be over applying the analogy. The main idea is seeking out a mate, presumably the one that the individual has bonded to. T'Pol, being unbonded at the time, was likely seeking out anyone. Had Spock not been bonded, Christine might have gotten her Plomeek souped.
And I was backing Ocompans in the Species you absolutely would NOT want to be under any circumstances thread. Thanks for changing my mind. You too Gov Kodos.
When you have only one shot, it's best to make sure you get the goodies for impregnation. Why take the chance the male can't perform? Just makes sense to assimilate the needed parts. Consult your ship's doctor, and materials on inter-species sexual activities before jumping into something you may regret later.
It is so very dangerous out there. Especially a species you can't google. I bet Starfleet made PSA commercials using footage of Trip pregnant to scare people off willy nilly experimentation. Maybe that's why Trip had to pretend to be dead, to escape the shame of never being allowed to forget it.
He wouldn't see them because they are centuries out of date. I can hear Archer narrating them.. "Space is big kids and when I was younger I saw a gazelle being born. Don't let this happen to YOU!" Cut to lingering scene of Trip's wrist nipple and blurred picture of his distended abdomen.
Don't you know they lost all the ENT mission files? That's why no-one knew about Borg, Ferengi, ectopic crewmembers,ad nauseum...
And Trip takes over and Reed gets more and more suppressedly angry because Trip is lax on defence and there is a MUTINY! But then, of course, it turns out to be the alien tachyon nebula virus that caused all the conflict.
Geez, for some reason one of the counting songs from Sesame Street suddenly popped into my head with new lyrics. Kes! Kes! Kes! Kes! Let's sing a song about Kes! How many is Kes?
I don't think Kes should be used in counting songs, she might not live long enough to get to the end.
http://www.trektoday.com/episodes/enterprise/season1/cold_front.shtml A space squirter was supposed to destroy Enterprise. This is a fact. Daniels wanted Archer dead and Silik changed the universe to save Archer and Enterprise, even though for some ungodly reason because Daniels was more charismatic and apparently the good guy working for the Future Federation... Archer tries to kill Silik for saving his life. If Daniels had survived this adventure, which he did not, he died, his next step would have been to kill Archer, the Crew of the Enterprise and scuttle the ship. Which time line led to the Star Trek we are familiar with?
Black Widow Spider blokes can't orgasm until after their heads have been removed by their missusses. It's standard.
I would like to have seen Neelix's face when he watched that Ocampan PSA while doing a little googling on the elogium..
