The main idea is seeking out a mate, presumably the one that the individual has bonded to. T'Pol, being unbonded at the time, was likely seeking out anyone. A space squirter was supposed to destroy Enterprise. This is a fact. Daniels wanted Archer dead and Silik changed the universe to save Archer and Enterprise, even though for some ungodly reason because Daniels was more charismatic and apparently the good guy working for the Future Federation... Archer tries to kill Silik for saving his life. If Daniels had survived this adventure, which he did not, he died, his next step would have been to kill Archer, the Crew of the Enterprise and scuttle the ship.
