Seen in Trailer, Not in Episode

Good thread. Also possibility is, "seen in end credit still -- not in episode.
Pretty sure they did a few alternate takes in the trailers as well as completely deleted stuff.

Oh!

"We grant you...one minute" from Balok in The Carbonite Maneuver. That "one minute" should have been in the episode when Sulu says "one minute...I knew he would." I popped that on my digital files of the episode to make his dialog make sense. Something I wished TOS-R had taken 30 seconds to do. I mean, shit, if you wanna fix something then fix something.

that edit puzzled the heck out of me.

"I knew he would" puzzled me as a kid, until I theorized that Sulu meant "I knew McCoy would walk back his threat to get Kirk in trouble." It would be an incredibly rude thing for Sulu to say aloud, but that was all I had. It really was a mistake by the sound editor, as Ssosmcin says.

They forgot to add in a needed line in Corbomite and put in an extra one they didn't in Charlie X: "When I came aboard!"
I never thought "When I came aboard" was a mistake. I thought it was just Charlie sputtering in a disjointed panic and I loved it. People under stress repeat themselves like crazy.

Kirk's uniform that switched in the elevator is harder. It could only be that these events were playing out almost identically in two different facets of the multiverse, and our film editor grabbed one reel from the wrong universe. "Eh, close enough."

If it clearly wasn't the same audio track of his voice, I might agree with you. But in an episode filled with sloppy rushed edits, this one stuck out as a kid. He says it at a point that makes no sense at all. In real life in your living room, a kid doing that is understandable. On a TV show where one line feeds into another, meh. Not so much.

There's also an additional line from Ferris and Kirk about the needle in the haystack being useless. And "if they're not there, Commission, then they're dead by now."

The Doomsday Machine has different phaser effects shots against the planet killer. That jumps to mind right away.
Wow. I can’t recall ever seeing those.

I remember searching the internet for the New Voyages episode where James Cawley's Kirk is in an NX-01 uniform until I realised it was just put in to the credits as a gag:lol:

Yeah the previews are fun and have nice little oddities like that

In another post @ZapBrannigan said "God I love Star Trek!" I felt the same when I just watched the Doomsday Machine trailer. It's my favorite episode of Trek franchise wide and it never fails to thrill me.
