That said, are Pumpkin Spiced Oreos a thing? Because they should probably make that a thing.

Forget the pumpkin spice, when are the stores going to get eggnog stocked? I'm jonesing for eggnog.

I like when they add other flavors to eggnog. I remember working at the school store when I was in High School I couldn't stand the smell of pumpkin spice coffee. My Business teacher's breath would reek of it.

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

If it tastes good, it's obviously l logical.

Peanut butter in chocolate vs. pumpkin spice in anything is the different between a hot girl in a tight red dress and high heels vs. a hot girl in one of those ugly long shirts that fall down and are a little ruffled, with Crocs.

To bad we can't ask those hot girls to take off those ugly long shirts with little ruffles for something more sexy.

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

Three words for pumpkin spice haters...pumpkin spiced donuts. MMMmmm.

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

It's wrong when pumpkin spice is introduced into products where there is no logical REASON to do so.
I was about to say the same thing about jalapeño peppers. The jalapeño growers must have had a big surplus for the last few years because the hot little peppers are showing up in EVERYTHING. My local Ralphs market has jalapeño bologna, jalapeño egg salad, jalapeño cole slaw, even jalapeño cornbread, for Christ's sake. I mean, who the hell wants spicy cornbread? :wtf:

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

Every year it seems there's more and more of them, from candy to cented candles to even marshmallows. And it wears out its welcome very quickly.

Some lady put a pumpkin spice scented candle in her office at a business -- stunk up the whole place. It was plesant to smell... once.

Bag after bag of pumpkin spice flavored candies just sit there. There's probably one guy, some creepy guy who smells like pumpkin spice, who buys 'em.

Just a couple weeks ago or so, Wal-Mart finally got rid of pumpkim spice (and regualr pumpkin) flavored products which had been sitting on the shelf since last bloody Halloween. Yes, just in time to get ready to stock fresh pumpkin spice products that will sit there for another year.

As another user posted in another thread (Karzak):

Clearly it must be stopped. It's like the "genius" who thought a few years ago of putting coconut in everything -- more "genius" at work.

Is someone force-feeding you pumpkin spice products? Are you now being coerced to spend your money on pumpkin spice lattes and the like?

If not, who the hell cares?

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

Hey, tharpdevenport, if it bothers you that much... consider moving to friendly Canada!

Why Canada misses out on the pumpkin spice craze

Short answer: because we *always* miss out on special food products? (Seriously... that Pumpkin Spice Oreo image caused me to look up the US Oreo product page... Berry Oreos? Lemon Oreos? PEANUT BUTTER OREOS?? The hell, America?! :scream::lol:)

To be fair, though, Timmie's does trot out pumpkin spice lattes every fall, IIRC.

Side note:

The first cup of coffee I ever had, obtained from a rest-stop vending machine on I-75, was a pumpkin spice cappuccino, and it was more to my liking than any coffee I've had since.

This statement blows my mind: not the fact that you liked a pumpkin spice coffee more than any you've had since... but that you liked a vending machine coffee more than any you've had since!:lol:

They fall down, so perhaps they are prone to wardrobe malfunction?

I don't normally like cornbread, but that actually sounds like it could be good. Then again, I want to give garlic ice cream a chance too (I'm looking at you, Gilroy).

Pumpkin spice doesn't do much for me. I don't like pumpkin in general, although I have discovered a good and relatively healthy recipe for pumpkin cupcakes. I don't understand the hate for pumpkin spice though. Don't like it? Just walk past it like all the other crap stores put out that you don't like.

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

^Jalapeno peppers make almost everything better. I don't think I'd much care for garlic ice cream - though I suppose it wouldn't hurt to TRY.

I love Pumpkin Spice and agree that those who hate it are free to not purchase Pumpkin Spice products.

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

Pumpkin Spice is, like with most things, fine in moderation...

Forget the pumpkin spice, when are the stores going to get eggnog stocked? I'm jonesing for eggnog.

...except when it comes to EGGNOG!

Eleven dollars a gallon is small price to pay for this golden nectar of the gods! :bolian:

Seriously, though - just don't buy the stuff, if you don't like it.

Personally, I can't work up an inclination to care much about pumpkin spice products one way or the other, so I don't buy any and don't feel the least bit like I'm missing out on anything.

Kestra: jalapeno cornbread is quite good. I like it a lot.

(Tilde omitted, as it seems to be one of the characters causing blank text boxes in some browsers. Like mine.)

Oh, I've got nothing against jalapeño peppers; it's just that there's a time and a place for them. Some foods simply aren't MEANT to be spicy.
