Seasonal Flavored Products I Don't Like Must be Stopped

End the Pumpkin Spice Era

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

It just feels that way because some people are complaining about it.

As the proliferation of the variety of pumpkin spice products easily and obviously proves, there's clearly a demographic of people who don't have this odd objection to flavored products being offered for sale during a given period of the year that they are in no way required to purchase.

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

Well, I did it. Today, I made pumpkin-spice bacon.

At work, occasionally, one of my co-workers often cooks up some bacon, or sausage, as we usually have some damaged or out of date product lying around so we cook it up and snack on it, it makes all of us a little less tense and it puts a nice aroma in the store.

So, I took some slices of bacon, got a little thing of Pumpkin Pie Spice and started seasoning some of the bacon strips. Was a little generous with it, rubbed it in good, and cooked it up.

It smelled really good, the combination of the pumpkin pie spice and the unbeatable smell of the bacon. The taste was decent, though I think the high frying temperatures burned some of the spices and other herbs in the pumpkin pie spice. But, hey, it was good.

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

Everything I've ate that has Pumpkin flavor has been disappointing this year. I don't know why. I used to be the fool who loved it. Is it possible to outgrow pumpkin spice?!

Your brain is trying to stop you. ;-)

Whoa, salted carmel is a wonderful thing. I miss those limikted edition salted carmel Hostess cupcakes that were around last year. I must have purchased three dozen of thsoe boxes. And now I have salted carmel ice cream, which is just as good as it sounds.

I love salted caramel Lindt chocolate.

I had to go there. This place is like a social virus ;)

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

I don't know which is more full of win. Salted caramel; salted caramel with bacon; or (as I just heard a commercial for, on the radio) poutine with bacon.

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

Now I want bacon. The question remains which type?
That drool emoticon got to me. I salivated. Hmm..I'm already in my night clothes. But then again, I rarely see people dressed properly for wal-mart. I'll blend in! :)

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

If you have the presence of mind to wonder if you're properly dressed for Walmart, then you're too GOOD for Walmart.

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

Wal-Mart just get more people because of variety and overall cheaper prices. You act like you've never seen a fuzzy-slipper wearing crazy person in Publix. I see them in other chain stores, too. The problem isn't Wal-Mart, the problem is the individual. It would be like me blaming sales of pumpkin spice on a store when it is is the people buying it.

It Was Only a Matter of Time Before Pumpkin Spice Hair Became a Thing

Yup, it's for real. Pumpkin spice hair (and/or variations of gingersnap hair) are all the rage this fall, and it's no wonder why. Between Blake Lively's bronde and darker hues on the runway this season, there's been a noticeable shift from light, playful colors to richer, more ~serious~ red hues.

I for one think it looks gorgeous.

It's not Walmart that's true but what draws an individual to have less class at certain stores? Bear in mind, in my small town only wal-mart gets the ghetto fabulous dressers. Thus you get point of views like George here which btw I am too good :-) too good to put up with their nonsense. I used to work there. It's unethical to where I'd rather flip burgers at apple bees and that's not saying much. Fortunately, I won't have to. I'm in school to be a PreK teacher. It's not the big bucks but, I enjoy it as a creative type and I'm grateful to no longer be a retail employee. I miss my favorite customers sometimes.

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

I guess the pumpkin spice thing is starting to wind down, but I found this recipe online and just had to take one more kick at the pumpkin spice can before the season was over...

There's nothing much to say at the moment. The fad has finally died down and all the products, for thye msot part, are sitting on the shelf waiting to be thrown away a year from now.

Why would they wait a year to throw them away?

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

Okay reposting after losing the stupid post.

Here's my pumpkin spice from my US trip.

I am sad today because I just finished the last of my trader joe's pumpkin spice coffee. Looked at it on ebay but of course they only charge some airforce 1 lvl of postage and it's all 30 bucks to mail it which is dumb. So sad. If I had been able to try it there I honestly would have brought back 10 of them.

Ate this, it was FANTASTIC.

Incredibly deep pumpkin flavour.

Just ONE of Trader Joe's walls of pumpkin spice..

This is my absolute favorite kind of cake, panettone :adore: though I didn't end up trying the pumpkin spice one. I wanted it.

Yeah, not sure on this one, have had pumpkin beers before and they are definitely novelty value only. Done right it's a nice winter chaser but IME it can go weird fast.

Aww.. GOODBYE pumpkin spice :wah: I hardly knew you.

If I lived in the US I would devote myself for this season to only eating pumpkin spice when possible.

WHY don't we have it here, what the heck is wrong with this country. Why why why why why
