I can't believe this flavour does not exist here, why why why. I have not even seen it at Costco which usually has some lame attempt at foisting Halloween on australians.
^ Traditionally, pumpkin pie (made with spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice) is more associated with the American holiday of Thanksgiving, in November.
So my all spice berries arrived today. My star anise arrived on Friday, I think. i ground those in my tiny blender, and went work on the cinnamon stick and nutmeg with a micro plane. Added some already ground ginger from the jar and mixed it all in airtight container. The aromatic quality of the stuff was amazing. I added a quarter teaspoon to two cups of vanilla flavored soy milk and ran it through the blender. Freaking fantastic. I think I'm going to make an espresso and soy milk protein shake for the morning and add half a teaspoon of pumpkin spice. This the season.![]()

Well, it's also a very traditional dish associated with the Canadian holiday of Thanksgiving, in October. And yet our meager selection of pumpkin spice products pales compared to yours.
^You're going to hate the Christmas season then.
My biggest disappointment with cinnamon buns these days is that no one seems to put raisins in them anymore. I love cinnamon buns with raisins. When did that stop?
Is Canadian Thanksgiving as big a deal as ours in America? It's personally my most important holiday of the year.
Btw Avro, check out a Bulk Barn if you have one near you. You might be surprised by the number of pumpkin spice products.
I just saw this a couple days ago: Publix has cinnimon buns with raisins. I saw it as a two-pack, something they bake at their store and put out for sale.
In my opinion Publix (and Winn-Dixie and Wal-Mart) all make shit for doughnuts, but maybe you'll like it.

My pumpkin spice fanfiction story is progressi8ng nicely.
I'm sure it will be cogent and not riddled with plot holes what-so-ever.

Ooh, like what? Bulk Barn is where I found the pumpkin spice coffee that I posted about upthread, but I didn't see any other pumpkin spice products there. It's possible I just missed them, though.

Well, to be honest, I think it varies by location. I've found all sorts of Pumpkin teas there. But they're one of the few stores I know that manage to go all out for the season without being too gimmicky about it. I think there might also be some pumpkin spice cookies and the like. I'd go take another look![]()
Hey, unlike the other two, Anne Murray is pleasant to listen to!Actually, I believe Bieber is Phase 3. Phase 1 was Anne Murray. We do it slowly, generation by generation...
Pies are a dangerous topic to mention, since throwing pies is one of the ways voters express displeasure with politicians.Notice how all the federal candidates are silent on the pumpkin spice issue? The first party that comes out and promises unfettered access to pumpkin spice gets my vote!![]()
Okay, now I'm wondering who "Chris" is.Pumpkin egg nog? That's it. It's true . October, November and December are one long holiday called "Hallowed Thanks Chris." It starts in September.
One of the computer games I got addicted to has several turns in which the player is told to make pine needle tea and serve it to the workers (the game is about a group of explorers searching for an ancient alien artifact and rescuing a group of fellow explorers). The tea has the effect of increasing the speed at which the workers can gather resources (mining, cutting wood, gathering food, and hauling water).I'd be afraid to try... those needles would really hurt the tongue!![]()
That depends on whatever traditions a family might have. Back in the '80s, I used to take off for the weekend to go to the annual science fiction convention that was held in various places around the province - usually Calgary or Edmonton, but we had it in Banff a couple of times, and once in Red Deer.Is Canadian Thanksgiving as big a deal as ours in America? It's personally my most important holiday of the year.
