Season SIX OFFICIAL TNG Blu-Ray Discussion Thread

With the first screen capture of the remastered season six opener I think it is time to officially open the discussion about this BluRay release for later this year:

Damn, I hated to remove this image but its owner contacted me saying it was never meant to be available to the public yet. I had to honor his plea. I have asked him to contact Salinga via PM to let him know when it can be restored.

I saw image when it was first found a couple of days back, would love to know who that person was, and how he or she had access to S6 remastered.

I got here a little late, was the removed image the "leaked" shot from the HD version of Birthright that was posted in another thread a few days ago?

The Australian release date for Season 6 is June 4, as confirmed by Paramount Australia to the guys on blu-ray.com.

Wait so to hear the Ronny Cox interview you have to buy the seperate Chain of Command Disc? That's disappointing. :(

Wow, a season six thread already. It seems like only yesterday that TNG remastered was just wishful thinking on our part.

Think of it this way. Were it not for the separate release, there would be no Ronny Cox interview.

But it would have been just part of the Season 6 set. I actually might get Chain of Command (Didn't get Unification) just because of the Ronny Cox interview now even though I hate paying extra for two episodes that are already included in the set.

Nope. CBS got a budget to do a separate release of Chain of Command, and that budget goes to the bonus features, which would include an interview with Ronny Cox. Without the separate release, the interview would not exist.

The interviews done included in the season sets are more broad, as they don't focus on individual episodes. Interviews for one-off actors would not fit into the narrative.

Redemption and Unification never got UK releases. Still as we has all the TVM in a DVD set, I suppose its possible they might box them together too.
