Spoilers Season Finale Reveal!

If we do end up seeing the Enterprise in the finale, I'd absolutely love it if they managed to get Bruce Greenwood & Zachary Quinto in for a brief on-screen cameo and managed to keep it under wraps.

Autobiography of Jean-Luc Picard.

I think the autobiographies of James T Kirk and Spock would've been more authoritative, as both of them would've been junior officers by now, and would've seen actions in the Federation-Klingon War, and would've been able to tell stories about its aftermath and how it affects a post-war Starfleet.

Knowing the audience, there would be some that would cry heresy if we were shown a perfectly normal, ordinary Constitution class as we know it, but in the TOS configuration as opposed to The Cage one... ("it's not supposed to receive that refit until after WNMHGB in 2265," etc, ad nauseam)

You can absolutely count on it, which is kind of sad.

No, you're fine. I was just joking. My sources have indeed indicated the Enterprise has been tweaked for modern aethestics. I have not myself seen it, so I can't say it with 100% authority. On the other hand, I DID see the Discovery and Shenzhou before they were shown to the public, and that's why I commented on those ships in the past with absolute certainty.

Anything I say about the Enterprise is to be taken as let's say, 75% probable. If it doesn't show up at all, I'll have to eat some serious crow...lol.
So you sources...

Have they mentioned...

Is it...

good?

Yeah, but the original question was how do we know Phlox is still alive ?

Well according to Picard's autobiography, Picard and Data meet up with Phlox before Picard takes over The Enterprise.

For me, that's proof enough and whilst I doubt it will happen, or even that there is any meaningful want for it to happen amongst the fanbase, I believe a Phlox appearance would fit into the story they have been telling.

They didn't say. Just said it would be somewhat redesigned with a modern aesthetic and that we should expect it during this season's finale. Originally I was told it wouldn't show up until Season 2, but maybe their plans changed. That's why I'm not 100% sure it will show up Sunday, but 75% confident. Since John Eaves is doing the show's ship designs, I can't imagine it won't be beautiful.

The airline disasters that resulted in all airplanes getting rounded windows happened well before Star Trek, so I'm not sure why the Enterprise had rectangular ones in the first place. Unless Matt Jeffries did it deliberately to show that the advanced materials of the Enterprise could overcome such design "flaws."

I think we will get something along the lines of an upscaled version of Eaves NX-01 Concept for the DSC version of the NCC-1701.

I would be okay with that I think. Maintains the same lines as the original but fits well with this new world's design aesthetics. Honestly, it could be far worse.

I think it'll be something along those lines with the body proportions more true to the original 1701.
