One (genuine) question for those who have kept an eagle eye on timelines etc: with the 9 month move forward in time etc, would Kirk have been helm officer on the USS Farragut by this point in the war? Just wondering in case some "amazing" manoeuvring by the Farragut to help Discovery out leads to some corny lines on the bridge about wanting to meet that hotshot flying the Farragut...some guy called Kirk who beat the Kobayashi Maru. If the timelines worked it'd be another way to appeal to fans without showing anything within a Connie....
The scale of the show has felt off from the start compared to the other series.yeah I expect more small universe syndrome, Starfleet is tiny, the Enterprise will just happen to be in the area...
- TOS: Really big. Genuinely felt like they were at the fringes of known space.
- TNG: Quite big, when they weren't running to Qo'nos every other episode.
- DS9: Stuck playing in the backyard, with occasional forays through a hole in the back fence to see what's across the tracks. But you'd best be home in time for supper.
- VOY: Really, really big, but funnels down quickly as the writers ran out of ideas.
- DISCO: Four square blocks in a sketchy neighbourhood near downtown.
When there was hooplah about the Defiant possibly being shown, someone astutely mentioned that DISC is not going to ruin the anticipation by showing a Connie that ISN'T the Enterprise. So, yes, gotta be the E.

Section 31 will take custody of Georgiou after the war is over. She'll be put in charge of their Heinous Weapons Research division. She will live out her days as their evil genius/madwoman in the basement.
Of course, none of this will come to pass once the writers hit the Big Reset Button.

If there's one thing Star Trek writers love (and love to overplay), it's their Temporal Get Out of Jail Free card.
the Terran Empire has expanded far beyond the UFP's boundaries. So she may know intel like Khan's DY100's general location, the existence of the First Federation, location of a useful and long abandoned insectoid ship, etc. She's too dangerous to allow to be free, but she might be an interesting occasional antagonist if she does escape at the end.
Haha. I just watched The Cage yesterday and I still can't believe how sexist they were in the 60s. I'm not going to lie if that happened I'd crack up!
Honestly, even in The Cage that line didn't make sense considering there were other women besides Number One visible on the bridge.
