Season 7 of Orange is the New Black with Red AKA Kate Mulgrew drops 7/26/19

Something struck me today about the end of Voyager, of OitNB and Kate's personal history.

When I first watched this scene, I marveled at how well Kate portrayed the patient with this diagnosis and wondered where she researched it. Then I yelled "idiot!" She didn't have to go anywhere to research this, she lived it with her own mother.

That was when I remembered the end of Voyager. At that time we knew of her mother's diagnosis and my heart hurt for the actress who had to play out this scene with her character's best friend.

If I remember well, Mulgrew, informed of her character's fate, has asked to the OITNB's producer, Jenji Kohan, that her character, Red, had the premise of Alzheimer's disease (until their meeting, there has been no indication about the disease in question), because she knew how Red will react, means like her mother Joan, as seeing as she has witnessed to her reaction, frightened but dignified. And Mulgrew wanted to reflect that on screen and she did.

Remember to scroll all the way down and click on the video of the cast goodbyes at the end.. that's Danielle Brooks singing (Taystee).

Not sure how accurate this next article is, given the fact they missed Kate Mulgrew's "Mr Mercedes" role, but here is a list of the next possible projects for our intrepid crew.

I'm thinking more & more about buying the season or maybe the Audience Network for a month. I've read you don't really need to see the first 2 seasons to understand it as it's based on the Stephen King book Finders Keepers.
