Why not do what they did with the Lower Decks crossover. It premieres at SXSW and then that night or a few days later it premieres on P+. I know they said it was coming back in April, but if they are showing the first episode on March 11th, that's a month between when the episode airs in Texas and when it gets on the streamer. That's an eternity in the streaming world.

I just noticed their evidence: a screen grab from Paramount +. It is likely or possible that Paramount leaked the date early then denied it afterwards. As we know they have accidentally leaked things early before.

I think they may have picked the date because of the proximity to First Contact Day. We may even get the first 2 episodes in celebrating it.
