Not much there but I'm glad they are actually going to alien worlds. I would love to see more 32nd century worlds.
Looks good. I love Callum Keith Rennie. Also nice to see some more Starfleet Admirals.
They don't look Vorta like at all. I'm guessing Vulcan or Romulan heritage.

While I realize trailers don't necessarily reflect the finished product, it does seem like Paramount is attempting to respond to some of the criticism of Season 4 (as being slow paced, a bit dour, focused on feelings) by presenting Season 5 as a much brighter, simpler, more upbeat romp.
We… and by we I mean Discovery’s crew… could use some upbeat romp.

The premise of the season seems a lot like Raiders of the Lost Ark. I'll watch because I'm a Star Trek completist, but I'm least interested in this than any other new Trek.
Lorca... if he were 70, a half-Vorta/half-Vulcan, and living in the 32nd Century.
Or just a change of pace. Which is what Star Trek does best.
Almost thought James Bond had infiltrated the ranks! Hopefully it indeed will be a bit faster paced and lighter in tone, especially with 10 episodes now...

Michael on Mad Max planet. I hope Paul gets more to do this season than the last one. And please, please save the therapy sessions until after the crisis-of-the-moment has passed. Not while the monsters are ten feet away and have to halt their approach so so-and-so can have their breakthrough, or during a massive space battle where ships are exploding and more people dying than necessary because you have to tell your brother to buddy up with Kirk one day.
