Season 3 of Enterprise as good as many DS9 seasons?

I'm not a fan of ENT season 4 because 1) it was fan-wank and 2) they kept on ruining the endings on each of the story arcs.

Borderland: Okay
Cold Station 12: Fantastic
The Augments: Poor

The Forge: Great
Awakening: Amazing
Kir'Shara: Poor

Babel One: Okay
United: Great
The Aenar: Terrible

Affliction: Average
Divergence: Urgh

Demons: Good
Terra Prime: Not as good

For this reason I would say that season 3 is the best and season 4 is equal to the first season (and maybe even a little behind it).
:wtf: We were CLEARLY watching two differant show's if you think season 4 was on par with season one:wtf:

I watched the show about 6 months behind everyone else because of where I live so I found season 1 to be a pleasant surprise compared to all the bashing I heard, and I found season 4 didn't match up to the insane levels of praise being offered to it. ;)

lol yeah you can tell this site has changed and most of the hardcore fans have grown apathetic towards Trek.

S3 of Enterprise was a giant turd.

S4 of Enterprise had good intentions but a lot of times did hilarious awful things that ruined it.

I've never understood the appeal of the Xindi arc. The arc had major problems right from the first episode. Why did the Xindi launch the initial attack on Earth in the first place? What was the point? We are told that it was a test, but then we are later told that they had a testing ground. Who tests a weapon by attacking their target and thus alerting them to the imminent attack? Why did the Xindi allow the enterprise to wander around the expanse for the better part of a year? The Xindi boarded the ship several times but only tried to destroy it toward the end of the season. What was Carpenter street about? Why were they develpoing a bio weapon? What was the Vulcan's rationale for doing nothing about the unprovoked attack?

^All valid points and opinions that I share.

What galled me the most about it, was that TPTB had vetoed season-long arcs for years, and yet here turned to it for ratings.

I thought all series of Enterprise were crap, maybe if the whole premise wasn't one giant plot hole.

I agree with justtoyourleft. I don't think ENT measures up at all to DS9 (not even in its best seasons) and it surely took less risks.

Seasons 3 & 4 of Enterprise are my favorite seasons of Trek after all of DS9. Watching those seasons of Enterprise was the most enjoyable experience for me, Trek wise, since the finale of DS9. I hated Enterprise for most of it's first 2 seasons...but by the time the horrid finale and the cancellation happened, I loved the series so much that I was devastated.
