It's odd that Burnham wasn't there.
I followed the twitter link on that page, and judging by some of Ian's posts where they referred to themselves as a they, I'd say the article went for the wrong pronoun?
My guess is that the dinner takes place while Burnham is on Trill or that she and Adira are injured in some way by using the symbiont pools and are in sickbay recuperating.
Definitely could be, but odd they would plan it that way,,,to me anyway.
I don't think Saru would have intentionally excluded Burnham or Adria from a dinner, so there has to be a reasonable explanation for both of them not being there.
Or an unreasonable one, just to make it interesting

There was a fan theory, purely based on Lorca faking a Scottish accent in Season 1 when pretending to be the chief engineer, that the Discovery chief engineer was actually Montgomery Scott.
If that's the case, then he must've gotten off the ship before it travelled to the future. Maybe transferred over to the Enterprise and decided he liked the place.
