Spoilers Season 2 Trailers, Previews, and Promos

I'm fine either way to be honest. I was a huge fan of "The Shield" so I'm happy to see the actor again.
I'm guessing he was good in that?

Also, what difference does it make? Trek has reused actors more than I use that fried rice recipe every Monday for the past 4 years.

Yeah, good call on Wells probably being the boy who met the Vulcans. So he became a Mulder because "something is out there." Who knows, maybe Q at one point takes him out of the game/ ttime and makes him a time cop, or maybe the future time cops will come to recruit him. While other things our heroes do, including Rios staying in the 21st century, or Teresa coming to the 25th, won't raise any eyebrows for... reasons.

I think this is just a case of two separate writers making the same obvious reference in their time travel story.

Yeah, ‪‪I tend to agree, I’d guess naming him Wells is about The Time Machine, and not about Karnes having played ‪‪Ducane.

And I think using Karnes in this role was most likely just because he’s good as these types of characters, and Matalas worked with him on 12 Monkeys. It’s like when Kurt Sutter reused him on Sons of Anarchy after working with him on The Shield.

Guinan: "I'm a bartender. I've seen your kind before. This is personal..."

Looks like the little kid in the forest with the Vulcans -- may actually be FBI Agent Wells as a child?

Whoa!!! That's the finest example of digitally de-aging a character I have ever seen!

I don't get the connection. Is it supposed to allude to H.G. Wells? OK, that could be a clue.
Sort of. That is the USS Relativity, the titular ship in the Voyager episode Relativity, is a Wells class timeship. Presumably, the folks on Voyager chose that name for the ship's class because of HG Wells.

That said, I'm pretty sure this character being named Wells is just a coincidence.

Highly confused about this scene from a much older preview. They're wearing outfits from the gala, and Tallinn uses her little pen device. Is this a cut scene, given that the gala already took place? Do they somehow go back in time to "clean up the mess" at the gala? Could this be a scene from Picard's mind from a later episode (since we know he has to confront more demons/secrets)? Any thoughts?

I’m guessing it’s a cut scene, but ‪‪it’s just my first instinct.

Cutting room floor material, most likely. Highly evocative of the MIB Neuralizer which mind-wipes people. Or sonic screwdriver. Or deluminator.
Probably not used because of the ubiquitous camera tracking of everyone there.

I’ve wondered about this as well. I liked the choreography there with Jean-Luc and Rios turning away. (I’m here for Jean-Luc doing James Bond like stuff and running around in that stunning tuxedo, I know I sound shallow but I don’t care, lol.) It’s possible that they’ll time travel back to the gala somehow because they messed up tho so who knows, this scene might still happen. But on the other hand I could just as easily imagine it’s a scene that ended up on the cutting room floor. Time will tell! :)

Perhaps at the end of the season, they'll visit all major events they messed with and Tallinn has to neuralize everyone to preserve history. Just like Arch Red Angel Michael had to go to all the events where she was seen, and make all the red things they saw before.

There’s another trailer shot of Picard telling Jurati/Queen that she has to get them home. The tone of his voice doesn’t sound like he’s talking to the Queen, so I think Jurati will regain control at some point.

Theres also a scene with partially assimilated soldiers on La Siren. A couple scenes of the crew being confronted by the same soldiers in the Chateau. The heroes have a couple Romulan weapons.
