R.I.P BIG Tam.
Let's not forget, he wielded a Japanese sword. So he was Egyptian, had a hispanic name, and spoke with a Scottish accent?
My father disliked the British, so I never saw the Bond films in the theatre as a child. Near as I can tell, when he was in the USAF he was stationed in Canada for a bit and some Brits also stationed there pissed him off.I am old enough to have seen Dr No in movie theaters. I was a kid but it was an incredible experience and I was totally hooked. He was great, will always be the best Bond. RIP
Naturally. Canadians are far too polite to piss anyone off.My father disliked the British, so I never saw the Bond films in the theatre as a child. Near as I can tell, when he was in the USAF he was stationed in Canada for a bit and some Brits also stationed there pissed him off.
And now Alex Trebek can join them.SNL can do a Dead Celebrity Jeopardy featuring Darrell Hammond as Connery, Jimmy Fallon as Robin Williams, and Andy Kaufman as Elvis.
I honestly never realized Connor had a French accent, I never really payed that much attention to the accents back when I watched the movie.
What are your memories?
Out of my childhood heroes, Sean, Robert Conrad (Wild, Wild West), Adam West (THE Batman, dammit), Patrick Macnee (the real Avengers), and Leonard Nimoy are gone. I could include Patrick McGoohan (The Prisoner) but he was more a teenage hero, I didn’t really get The Prisoner until I was a bit older. All’s left is William Shatner, who slept with the sexiest aliens ever, and only ever needed 90 seconds to save the universe. May he live forever.
