It's very sad to hear the hardcovers have been cancelled. I just started buying them myself and it can't be a case of them being too expensive for consumers because they seem to be about the same price as your average TPB. I thought the HCs were really classy, too, with that little tassel or whatever they're called that you use as a bookmark. 
That's the sort of thing you lose if you want to have a temporary digital version...
I guess as long as the collections still come out in some book form that's good, though I really hope we don't have to wait for 2011 for the 4th book which is what Amazon.ca is saying right now. I only just started reading the comics after spending the last few months poring through the entire series and mini-series. I often find comic book continuations disappointing, but this one's worked for me, primarily because it's officially considered canon (since the storylines originate from O'Bannon). KRAD's done a great job with these stories. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for his Farscape novel, House of Cards.
