Did Elan Sleazebaggano ever get his own figure? Lucas was not subtle with names, was he?

Yep! In 2003 he got a 3.75-inch figure that came with deathsticks, a blaster and a section of the Outlander Nightclub bar. In fact the figure had a running change made to the head sculpt with one having visible ears and the other with hair covering them.
Apparently you couldn't see Elan's ears in the actual film but Hasbro's designers made a mistake with the first release of his figure, prompting a correction.
Well, his inspiration included the likes of Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers, so...
I don't think it was a mistake, just that Lucas had ILM alter his look late in post production so Hasbro were just working off of the character design as it was shot. Needless to say the merchandise manufacturers need a bit of lead time before a movie comes out, so inconsistencies like this crop up on occasion.
Like the two-headed CGI podrace announcer in Episode I. The very first action figure of the announcer that was released with a "Spitting" Jabba the Hutt figure had a radically different appearance with other colors and that was because Hasbro was working with early concept images of the characters of Fode and Beed and the figure went into production before Lucasfilm completed the CGI for the characters.
Its all good. the people who go searching for older scifi are the true fans of the genre. They are the best to reminisce with. Remember the first time you saw the 1950s classic, Forbidden Planet?? ah...I bought it on Bluray because its still that good!Anytime someone doesn't know a 90's movie it just makes me feel old.
