Scruffy-looking untitled Han Solo film thread

With that box office, could recasting Luke and Leia be far behind now?
For what purpose? Luke didn't really do much interesting prior to ANH, aside from a cameo in a potential Obi-Wan prequel, I'm not really sure what they'd do with a young Luke. I suppose with Leia there are stories about involving political intrigue and clandestine Rebel Alliance type stuff you could tell with her, though I'm not sure you could sustain that for more than one movie. Stuff set during the trilogy or immediately after is a possibility, I guess, though given the ancillary material is going whole-hog in these time periods, I'm not sure we should expect the movies to do much here either. The most likely result of these numbers is a sequel to Solo getting made.

Shopping trips to Tosche Station. Womp rat hunting. Hanging out with Biggs. Maybe all in one night.
Tatooine Graffiti A Star Wars Story

I'm reminded of that Robot Chicken skit revealing what Luke really meant when he said he was "picking up power converters at Tosche Station."

I don't know. I'm much rather see Luke and the rest after Yavin, or better yet, after Endor, doing stuff. They do nearly 30 years of story space they can play with. But that might be best suited for a cartoon, like they seen to be pulling of in short bits with Forces of Destiny.

I wonder how they're going to shoehorn R2 and 3PO into this one.
According to Mark Hamill they found away. This is part of Io9's Morning Spoilers, which posts a whole bunch of small bits of news from movies and TV, so I'll just quote the relevant part, rather than linking to the whole thing.
Mark Hamill revealed Anthony Daniels cameos as C-3P0 on a recent episode of the Washington Post’s Cape Up with Jonathan Capehart podcast:

[Anthony] Daniels was so happy, ’cause he’s in every single Star Wars movie. Every single one. All the Prequels, he’s in Rogue One, he’s in Solo… Whoops! I hope that’s not, erm… But anyway, he’s in Every. Single. Star Wars movie. That’s not such a reveal – all Star Wars fans expect him to be in every movie.

Given that C-3PO is very much under the ownership of Princess Leia and Captain Antilles during the time Solo is set, it’ll be interesting to see just how Threepio shows up. [Star Wars News Net]

Meanwhile, the Millennium Falcon is looking a little cram

To be fair, actors sometimes take other roles in films that are not their iconic roles. See how many times Warrick Davis is in Star Wars and not playing Wicket.
However, I wouldn't put it past Lucasfilm to make Solo a story told by C-3PO about Han Solo.

Soylo a star wars farce..not gonna be good. I think Alden is the worst choice for Han and TFA pretty much sealed the fate of the new Soylo movie with Han's death , figures..Disney would beat a dead Han-horse with another spin off tale.

How would Han's dying in The Force Awakens have any effect on Solo? This is a prequel, so it's not like they're bringing him back from the dead or something. Are we supposed to just stop telling any stories involving a character just because they died in the one of the most recent stories? Should they not have done the prequels or Clone Wars just because we knew that Anakin and Obi-Wan die in the Original Trilogy?
Or to take it even father, should they have stopped all Star Trek: The Original Series books and comics after Generations since we saw Kirk die? Should Marvel and Del Rey stop all OT era stuff, and everything between the OT and the new movies since Luke and Han are dead and Leia might die in EPIX?
I've seen posts like this before after a character died, and I've never understood it. Just because we saw a character die in one story, doesn't mean I'm going instantly lose all interest in seeing them in stories set earlier in the timeline.

Well.. You make a rational argument. THAT DEATH OF A CHARACTER feeling, It doesn't apply to all genres or Franchises, or even characters..
I'll freely admit It's not a rational feeling or choice, it just is. Crazy as it sounds. I still feel this way. I can't explain it except to say, it just is what it is. Emotions aren't logical or Rational sometimes they just are what they are.

They are not always accurate either.
