It's the rich Correllian leather.The Falcon did look a bit cleaner thoughObviously Lando had her detailed more often than Han.
It looks good to me. I really dig the visual style, and I'm looking forward to hopefully a simpler, smaller scale heist adventure as a palette cleanser after TFA, RO, and TLJ.
Han Solo is not an especially complex character, and while Ehrenreich doesn't really look or sound much like Ford, he's certainly acting like Han Solo from what I'm seeing here so far.

Corellian leather is good because once you wear it nobody will care that you smell just as bad on the outside as you do on the inside.
On the subject of Lawrence Kasdan, it was George Lucas who was pretty much responsible for writing the script to The Empire Strikes Back. He didn't take credit because he wanted to pay tribute to the late Leigh Brackett. But the story we see in ESB is the story that GL wrote in his second draft. Kasdan's contribution was taking GL's ATROCIOUS dialogue (and I do mean ATROCIOUS dialogue) and making it much better and relatable. GL doesn't get enough credit for ESB's script because he chose not to give himself credit for it.
I saw the trailer. It definitely looked better than expected but I am already not impressed with Alden what's his name. It's not fair to judge a performance by a few short clips from a trailer but he looks more like Jack Nicholson from The Shining and from the little that's been shown, his line-reading seems cringing and I suspect the words "woefully miscast" will still be attached to him after the film is released.

Back to Han's Solo movie, now that the longer teaser has come out:
Unfortunately, Qi'ra bleating one of the worst clichés in the book - "I'm the only one who knows you" - doesn't do much to inspire. Can it get any more paint-by-numbers than that?
And, to a lesser extent, would Han really boast about having a mind of his own - my guess is that, for the "mind" line, there's exposition surrounding it that makes the line - when taken out of context - seem a lot more limp yet the idea that the line sans context regardless of inflection would make a crowd-pleasing moment to pique...
I still get the impression this movie will actually be good when all is said and done, they did nail a lot of mannerisms I would have expected from a young, impetuous, firm Han. Certainly better than "Rogue One", which was largely bland - apart from (most of) Tarkin and that's due mostly because Tarkin was the only one there who had an aura of menace, thank you Peter Cushing! And, of course, the money shot from a rather anachronistic (and hyperactive) Darth Vader with that slice'n'dice scene when put into the context of "Rogue One" taking place shortly before "A New Hope".

Rogue One was great. Definitely the best of the Disney Star Wars movies so far. Solo looks like it will stop that dead in its tracks.

Every line of dialogue in the original Star Wars movie? That's probably why it seems so comfortably right in this context, especially talking about Han.
I'll tell you what - I never got around to seeing The Last Jedi; nothing about it piqued my interest, making it the second SW movie that I will not have seen on the big screen (Attack Of the Clones being the other). I liked The Force Awakens mainly because Han Solo. Rogue One was just a real good movie; I loved it.
Based on this trailer I'll see Solo the day it opens.
How so? Even if Solo flops, is Disney stopping Star Wars?

For one, the Zimmer Batman-esque music definitely is...different.
Just saw the trailer and as much as I'd like to like it, it was so generically bad to me. That guy didn't feel or come off at all, han solo-esque. I gotta be misimsing something, but the vibe I got is that looks just to be a name-drop extravaganza and that's about it.
Just watched this and wanted to like it, but I’m sorry to say I’m completely underwhelmed. There was nothing in this that got me excited or made me want to see this film (although I will).
Didn’t feel that way for any of the last 3 film’s trailers in the franchise. I feel a bit let down.
Another vote here for Anthony Ingruber being a better casting choice. He’s already owned young Harrison Ford.
