"Screech" from Saved by the Bell in TNG?!?

And I seriously thought I knew everything about this series.

According to imdb (I had to check this), Dustin Diamond who played Screech on Saved By the Bell (I hate that show) was the head in the bubble in "Cost of Living"!!

There's nothing really more to this post other than wow. New TNG trivia to me is rare. But something like this?? Almost unspeakable!

'Twas Majel, at least according to Memory Alpha.

I recall it sounding very much like Bea Arthur and nothing like Majel Barrett, but Arthur says that she doesn't remember ever doing it.

Everything points to Barrett, it doesn't sound anything like her, but she's been known for doing voice work for Trek for years, so it could be her.

The Bubble head does look similar to Dustin Diamond. That would be a horrible cameo though. All of the holographic characters from that episode gave me the creeps!!

Glad I'm not the only person who thought that. Taking a kid there qualifies as borderline child abuse, if'n you ask me. It was entirely in character for Lwaxana, though: Her whole "I'm avant garde" schtick meshed beautifully there.
