^^^I incorporated that into an "in-joke" filled Nightmare on Elm Street parody I did years ago for another horror site community.

I was trying to find out if Jamie Kennedy was going to have a cameo in Scream 4...but it doesn't seem so...unless I missed something in my search...that is kinda a bummer. :( Randy Meeks was one of the best things about the 1st 2 movies and even his taped cameo in the 3rd was great.
 
I'm cautiously optimistic about this, but hearing about all the script issues has me more than a bit worried.

How would the cameo have worked? The sister dug up yet another taped video, lettin' the non-geeks know how the rules for a fourth movie should work? From the commercials, I'd say that's already covered by another character.

I personally kinda hope he's the killer in the fourth.

I don't have high hopes for this but then the Scream movies were never "good" in a traditional sense anyway. I'll check it out for the nostalgia factor and hope there's some cheesy, hilarious shit going on. If it does actually manage to have more to it then I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Actually those geeks in the trailer could come across a dvd or something left by Randy...or He could be the Killer!!! :eek:

Rory Culkin's character Charlie Walker is the horror movie buff and takes over for Randy. Jamie Kennedy's Randy was among my favorite characters. I don't know Dewy could be more popular than Randy was.
 
To be honest, the whole deconstructing the horror film angle felt trite, obvious and contrived to me before the first movie was even over, especially since it is ground Craven has trodden before.

The second was more of the same, I didn't bother with the 3rd and probably won't bother with this.

I don't care if you liked the films or not. This thread is a discussion for the film, not general discussion of it. If you saw "Scream 4" and typed I hated it...I wouldn't have had any problem. No that's not what you did. You you've no interest in seeing it.
