I am sure most of you have seen this model or similar but thought I'd share this video of a scratch built USS Enterprise.

From the video looks like a hell of a lot of work has gone into this model.

I know it's pretty cool I think. and the little shuttles inside the bay look so cool. Even the room where they all gathered in TMP is there in the saucer.

Now for one inside the Vomit comet with green screen (good in pool too.)

With the Vomit Comet though, you can have the plane slow down abruptly--causing the floating model of the ship to seem to race forward or backward--no armature.

Now to shove a 1/350 out of the ISS airlock...

Actually that would make for a fantastic publicity event. Only make it a heavy metal model with lighting and some means of ejecting it so it has inertia. And film it...
