Score fans: complete Back to the Future released!

For those who want to purchase directly from them, here is their link -- which I forgot to post:

People are crapping their pants over this, which just five years ago was told to be "impossible", but recently the vaults at Universal became open to labels, so ... who knows what kind of goodies 2010 will have in store for us (Assuming 2009 doesn't have more surprises awaiting).

Count me in as crapping my pants, I thought I had just about all there is for BTTF music..boy was I wrong and enjoyably so!

Can we call this an early Christmas miracle!!!!!!!!

Complete scores to my favorite movie = Tom being a happy boy.

When is the release date? Is it out already? I not seeing on the page.

Ok it appears it was released TODAY!

and its ORDERED!

I was aware of part the significance of this right away. Knowing that the complete score had never been released. But I do not follow film score release news that closely so was its incredible to learn that this was kept secret until the time of release. Know its really hitting me!

Sorry I geeking out at this!

"Back to the Future" is my all time favorite movie. I remember listening to the audio cassette of the soundtrack album when I was 7 or 8 years old. It created my life-long love of film scoring.

Likely not, although who knows. The first film's score had never been released until now (officially), while the other two have had a decent selection of their scores made available on CD.

I thought the soundtrack albums to Parts II & III were pretty comprehensive. I've listened to them many times and seen the films many times, and offhand I don't recall there being much, if any, music in the films that wasn't on the CDs. (Assuming we're talking about Alan Silvestri's score rather than pop songs.)

None of the most significant tracks from the films are missing on the scores for II and III. I'm not sure about he more minor cues. The annoying thing about the CDs for II and III was that the cues were not in film order, but that's easily fixable, especially since I listen to most of my music on itunes these days.

Less than 24 hours and they blew threw 3,000 copies. They say another couple weeks before more come in. I don't think this will be here this Christmas.

Just a year ago, Universal was NOTORIOUS for being a closed vault for score releases, now that they are open -- and who knows for how long -- it doesn't matter how much was covered on previous CDs for 2 and 3 -- strike while you still can! And the fan base wants it anyway.

My order is "Pending". I am assuming I did not get one of the first 3,000. I am not sure though. It has yet to come out of my checking account. But the order is placed. I got a confirmation email but no shipping one yet.

I'm going to go head and make this post in my thread instead of starting a new one:

La La Land Records will be taking orders for the newly announced complete, remastered score to "Inner Space", by five-Trek film composer, the late Jerry Goldsmith. I know BTTF has a score fan base outside of normal score fans, but I don't think this one does enough to warrent a new thread.

Anyway: LaLaLandRecords.com -- orders will be taken on December 1st.

This year alone about five of my holy grails have been released! Just five years ago, all were considered "Impossible". I'm giddy just thinking about what 2010 might bring. :D

As I was able to get my hands on BTTF, ST2 and Army of Darkness, I can't particularly complain myself.

The score looks interesting to me, just not sure I want to pay $29.95 that it is priced at on the website.

Well, it is a 2CD set, so that's $15 a CD (cheaper than a regular store bought score CD), and with 40 tracks, that's 0.75 per cue. Really a bargin if you look at it, plus ... it's limited. Mine should be in the mail box any day now. :D
