Hello everyone! I'm kind of surprised I've never posted images here. At least, not as I remember.

My favorite starship is of course, the original USS Enterprise.

Here is my interpretation, built and rendered in Blender 3d.

I look forward to chatting with you all.

Hello Bill!

I keep tweaking the textures on the dish. And of course, when Gary Kerr posted his drawings of the dish, I remade that. But no, I didn't make any changes due to the restoration.

There is one thing I will change. I'm going to change my warp dome blades down to zero thickness. The "blades" were Gaffer tape on a clear dome.

Looks awesome! Are you rendering with Cycles, or just the internal renderer? I haven't tried to do much with that, but it looks like everyone is moving that way. :)

I've been watching this over at scifi-meshes. You've done amazing work.
Thank you, Uniderth!

Hello Ricky, Yes. I have been rendering with Cycles. The second image is actually WITHOUT Cycles, but all the others use Cycles.
See, now this is how TOS-R should have looked. It looks really, really good.
Wow, thank you Gepard! I was trying to learn and do this LONG before TOS-R came around, but I certainly wasn't good enough. I'm still learning, but it would be fun. In fact, my long time project (beaten by almost everyone else who already was a fan and had the same idea) is to augment the effects in the episode The Doomsday Machine.
That second shot indeed looks like a screenshot.
Thanks Bill! Coming from you, that's high praise for me! That shot was done WITH Cycles but WITHOUT Filmic Color Management System, just FYI.

Wow! Absolutely amazing. That 2nd pic is beyond words. If it wasn't for the triangular shapes on the underside of the saucer being so strongly visible I wouldn't have known it wasn't from the actual show. Awesome!!!!!!!

Thank you very much for your kind encouragement!
