This week's av contest is dedicated to the teacher/professor characters that frequently show up in science fiction and fantasy media. Professor Arturo in Sliders, Giles in Buffy, or even the less obvious examples like Daniel Jackson in SG-1--- these characters have special knowledge and have been or are teachers/professors in some capacity. Other examples might be Yoda, Doc Brown, Clara & Danny Pink, Professor Xavier, and pretty much the entire faculty from Hogwarts. If in doubt, just ask.

Let's stick with old board rules: 150 x 150 pixels max, 140 KB max. I'll put the poll up on Wednesday.

My entry is one of my all-time favorite characters, Doctor Jones.

Obviously, it's not my call, but I'd say Zoidberg is a physical doctor, neither a professor nor a teacher. But someone else in that av is.

As much as I love Zoiberg (what's not to love?), I'd have to agree with Kai. Professor Farnsworth would be a good entry, though.
