Sorry, Edna, we're going to have to go with capes, after all.

This week's contest is all about men and women in capes--anyone from a science fiction or fantasy TV, Movie, or comic book that wears a cape. We're talking actual capes here--no long jackets or overcoats, however cool they might be. Everyone from Supergirl to Jon Snow is rocking a cape these days, so there should be plenty from which to choose: Lando, Darth Vader, Superman, Thor, Storm, Dracula, Batman, nearly everyone in Game of Thrones, and even Syndrome (shoulda listened to Edna!).

Standard av rules (200 x 200 and 1 MB max). Poll will go up Wednesday or Thursday.

Here's mine, Dr. Strange getting all fancy with his cape:

Half second image from the episode "Prophecy of Doom" -- blink and you miss it. Took me forever to hit the print screen button to capture it, since pausing it didn't work. Saved it ever since.

I think I'll put the poll up on Thursday evening, so there's still plenty of time for more entries.

Superman and Wonder Woman in DC Rebirth

I was just going to enter just Wonder Woman since her cape will be part of her uniform now, but it seems weird not to have Superman in this contest.

Yes, thank you!!! If nobody else had entered him, I would have changed my entry, and I would have been really pissed.

^Yikes! That has got to be fan art, if only for the reason that Supergirl is wearing white panties instead of the blue ones.

It is?! I mean, I found out it is by Ed Benes, who is a legitimate comic book artist who worked on a version of Supergirl (together with writer Peter David), but the signature dates the piece as from 2005. At that point, Supergirl did not look like that, and the version of Supergirl Benes worked on (and who wore that costume) had been abandoned by DC Comics.

Also, the colors seem dubious, aside from the aforementioned white panties Supergirl is wearing, she appears to have painted nails, something she usually doesn't have in the official comics (at least not as dark).

I am curious, as you say it is from a legit comic book, which one that would be? I'm not trying to be hard on you, it just looks like one of these art pieces comic artists sometimes do at comic conventions, like something a fan would commission, not like something DC would want.

But even if it is unofficial, the characters are legitimate comic book characters who do wear capes, so technically it qualifies as by @auntiehill 's rules from the opening post. Of course, she can still decide to disqualify "fan art" if she chooses to.

Yeah-uh! Thanks auntiehill! I had an alternate ready if you disqualified it.

Any more entries? I'll give it one more day. Get those last minute entries in! There's still Darth Vader, Lando, Jon Snow, The Hobbits in LOTR, Storm; there was even that crappy TV show, "The Cape"....lots from which to choose.
