I thought i seen this here before but i cant find it so sorry if this has been talked about.

Will Smith is reportedly teaming up with Sci Fi Channel for a new crime procedural.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered a new drama titled Unfinished Business.
The project centres on an ex-cop who starts seeing flashes of memories from the recently deceased.
"[We are] excited to begin development on Unfinished Business with Overbrook Entertainment and Will Smith," said Sci Fi's Mark Stern. "It is a compelling and thrilling drama that is perfect for our audience."
The network will apparently air Unfinished Business as a two-hour movie, which will also serve as a potential series pilot.

I dont no, sounds like been there done that. but i cant think of any shows ive seen that is simliar to this. Any help?

It sounds a bit similar to the UPN show Haunted, which starred Matthew Fox. He was an ex-cop who had the ability to communicate with ghosts of people who had been murdered. I forget why exactly he was able to talk to ghosts, but I think he almost died after getting hit by a car, or something in regards to that.

ok i might of caught that on the OLD UPN.

Considering its going to be on syfy im hoping it will be good, cant be any worse than the other stuff that is on there.

Speak of the devil! I just posted in another thread bemoaning the lack of real sci fi on TV, mainly cuz everyone seems to think they need to take a cop show and dress it up as sci fi, in order for it to survive.

Well, how original! :rommie: I have this funny feeling that show is already on TV. Or should I say shows? :D And then there was that third one that sadly got cancelled...didn't see flashes, but he could talk to the corpses, that's even better...how about bringing back that one instead?

Medium and Ghost Whisperer. And the one I want back is Pushing Daisies.

Is Smith lowering his salary dramatically in order to be in this if it goes to a series? Because he seems like he'd be a bit out of SciFi's/SyFy's/Skiffie's (whatever the hell it's called now) budget range normally, unless they're planning to spend more to go along with the stupid rebranding in order to build more interest in the network.

This does indeed sound like about a half dozen other shows, and normally I wouldn't care and dismiss this as your typical SciFi movie of the week, but Smith's involvement does have me interested, especially if it goes to a series run.

I'm seriously doubt Will Smith is going to be a regular on a SyFy TV series. More likely he's just producing it or something.

You know, that didn't even occur to me. When the article said "Will Smith crime drama" I just assumed that meant he'd be starring in it. You're probably right.

ok i might of caught that on the OLD UPN.

You might have.

Or you might've.

I'm not sure what language that is, but "I might of caught that" is not English.
While we're talking about English, in any form, get back to your desk and give us some more of your fanfic. I miss it.

:o

Sorry. If it's any consolation, I miss it too.

The good news is: the school term is over, and I've got four months ahead of me with nothing to do but write. So my fanfic may be resurfacing in the near future.

That was a damn good show and I was pissed when it was canceled. :scream:

I have zero intrest in this show, even though I like Will Smith. I'm tired of cop shows and tired of cop shows with a sci-fi/fantasy angle to them. Plus the show sounds like "Millenium" and doubt it will be that good.

Will Smith is just producing this. I sincerely doubt the most bankable star in Hollywood would do television when he can do...whatever he wants on the big screen.

At least you didn't do that new thing I LOATHE so much, that most of the kids are doing today - substituting "then" for "than", as in, "I liked it better then that other one."

Everytime I see that I want to rip the offender's head through my monitor and stab his eyes with a compass. The two words are NOT f*****g interchangeable. They are completely separate words and it SO damned lazy.

Oh and as for this new show, gimme a fucking break. Or in the words of Willow,

"Bored now".

Fuck sakes, there are like 4 of these dipshit "hurr dead people" shows on TV already.
