Sci-Fi/Fantasy shows to watch.

So I'm running out of sci-fi/Fantasy'ish to watch. I'm wondering if anyone can make some suggestions as to what I should give a go.

Off the top of my head shows that i'm watching, or I've watched:

Trek obviously, game of thrones, earth 2, space above and beyond, x-files, fringe, buffy/angel, farscape, B5, V, Kung Fu legend continues, Hercules/Xena, Lost, Seaquest, Dollhouse, Stargate franchise, firefly, BSG, the pretender, highlander, caprica, lone gunmen, the 4400, adventures of briscoe county jr., alien nation, supernatural, arrow, agents of shield, sarah connor chronicles, Heroes, Defiance, Jeremiah, Sliders, Tera Nova, Quantum Leap, Andromeda, Final Conflict, the Sentinel ... Well that's all I can think of right now.

I am thinking of giving Falling Skies, Warehouse 13, Grimm or Extant a shot, but I'm not super excited about them. I've also never been able to get in to Dr. Who, so if someone can make a suggestion where to start that would be good.

Aside from all that, can anyone think of a show I've missed that I should try out? Preferably only within the last 30 years, and not so much contemporary stuff that's still running. Maybe a hidden gem I've missed from the 80's-2000's?

One show that I always recommend is Being Erica. Its one of those shows that don't fit in a box and cannot be adequately explained with words, so just give the first season a shot. If you don't like it, no harm done. If you fall absolutely in love with it, then there's three additional seasons worth of equally good episodes to watch.

Eureka is a pretty good sci-fi show. It follows a guy who becomes the sheriff of a town filled with super scientists who build weird things for a company. The characters are good, the stories are almost always entertaining and it has a good mix of light hearted stuff but with some serious stuff mixed in.

I just recently finished watching Total Recall 2070 and found it to be a very good series. It has a lot of Blade Runner aspects to it.

Eureka and Warehouse 13 are both fantastic. I didn't think much of them when they started airing based upon previews (and tried the first episode or two of Eureka). But, when I watched them all the way through I really, really enjoyed them both. Though they look "Light and Fluffy" from a distance, they actually have quite a bit of depth, and the characters are written very well, and there's some pretty pretty cool little arcs running through both shows.

Try the British show Utopia that centers around a group of comic book nerds. It is pretty intense.

Orphan Black

Two seasons, 10 episodes each. You should be done by the end of the weekend.

Yes, this. I was going to recommend it before I saw you mentioned it. It's honestly one of the most unique and refreshing shows I've seen. Quite an intelligent show too.

Such a great show, and not just because of Tatiana Malsany's acting. I'm gonna get the S2 blu-ray soon.

I've been watching Intruders. Very confusing, but a little more clarity every week. 8 episodes for season 1, hard to tell how the season will end.

If nothing else, Mira Sorvino is still really hot ;)

Yes, Orphan Black is an amazing show. You should also consider Continuum; it starts slow but improves toward the end of the first season and continues to improve up through the end of the third season.

Going back quite a few years, a couple British Shows:

UFO - Just 1 Season of about 20 episodes
Blake's 7 - Low Budget Special Effects, but 4 Seasons of 13 Episodes each with a Fantastic Story and terrific Characters.

For Doctor Who, there are a couple of active threads in the Doctor Who giving suggestions of where to start with the Classic Show. For the Modern Show (Currently in it's 8th Season), there are two really good places to start. Either start with the first episode from 2005 entitled Rose (this would be my recommendation) or Start with the Current Show-runner's first episode as Show-runner The 11th Hour)

Gerry Anderson's UFO
SPACE:1999 (1975-1977)
Ark II (1976-1977)
Space Academy (1977-1978)
Jason Of Star Command (1978-1980)
Flash Gordon animated (1979-1981)
Logan's Run
(1977-1978)

Orphan Black, as others have said, is a fantastic show. It grabs you right from episode one.

Warehouse 13 and Eureka are light and fluffy fun , but with some surprisingly good character development.

If you want to go "old school," try Blake's 7. If you can look past the super-low-budget effects and are more interested in dialogue and character, you'll love this. Kerr Avon is one of the most interesting character, IMHO, in all of scifi TV.

As for Doctor Who, it really depends on your age and your attention span in regards to where you'd like to start. If you really just want to jump into new Who, then I'd recommend starting with "Eleventh Hour," with Matt Smith. You'd be only one Doctor behind and I think it's one of the best introduction-episodes ever.

I put in another vote for both Eureka and Warehouse 13, they were a lot of fun.
I'll put these into categories since I'm not sure what exactly you're into.
Time Travel

Continuum - a cop from the future chases a group of terrorists back into the present
Spies
Alias - a kick ass female spy gets involved in conspiracies, prophecies and all sorts of other craziness
Chuck - a guy who works at a not-Best Buy gets a computer program accidentally dowloaded into his head and is made a spy
Vampires, Werewolves, Witches ect
The Vampire Diaries (I can in during Season 3, so I'm not familiar with the earlier episodes) - a teenage girl is pulled into the world of the supernatural after she gets involved with a pair of vampire brothers
The Originals - A TVD spin-off following their world's first vampires in modern day New Orleans. I actually enjoyed the first season of this one more than the last couple years of TVD.
Being Human UK/US - both series follow a vampire, werewolf, and ghost sharing an apartment.
Lost Girl - A woman finds out that she is a Succubus and is pulled into the world of the Fae (supernatural beings). All Fae must choose a side, Light or Dark, but (at first) the main character refuses to choose.

Angel the Series (watch after or alongside Buffy)
The Dresden Files (2007) (Not like the books)
Supernatural
True Blood

Oh, and if you're a Star Wars Fan, and don't have a problem with Animation, Star Wars: The Clone Wars although, it started out a bit slow, became pretty damned good
