What is your definition of younger audience? This is geared towards adults.

I know the showrunner has a hard-on for TNG, but this is animation. They could have at least come up with a new design for the starbase instead of using the STIII Spacedock like TNG was so fond of using.

And have the other half of the fanbase gripe about how the new starbase design is completely lame, ridiculous, and against canon because the classic spacedock design is seen through TNG? Nah.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why would being "geared towards 13 year olds" be "baaaaaad?"

Only because "I'm not the target audience" apparently.

Firstly, I was 15 when I first joined this website, 19 years ago. And, that was before the internet was so readily available to everyone, especially young people. So, maybe you’d be surprised how many 13 year olds may actually be using this website.

Also, why on Earth does that matter? I didn’t realise that CBSAA were only meant to be making these shows for the small % of fans who use TrekBBS. My bad!

Come on. That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve read on here today.

42 year old guy here who has been watching Trek since the mid 80s and I loved the trailer and this first look. Don't really see this is aimed at 13 year old boys, how many of them will even get any of the referenced to the TNG era?

Like the look, like the humour and the characters are a riot. Really looking forward to this.

13 is the right age to get hooked on Trek. Most of us became fans as kids or teens, right?
