I'm surprised so many don't like Seven, I thought she was an awesome character and an awesome actress and holding a grudge against Seven because of what she did as a drone is nonsensical.

Sorry but they had already done the find their humanity bit with Data and over did it at that. Additionally having the rest of the cast put to the back sit for the producer's (or whatever he was) girlfriend is extremely sad.

Data wasn't taken as a child and brain washed to enslave others.
Data was never feared by the mass public.
Data isn't considered dangerous.
The difference between Data & Seven is redemption.

Seven in the spotlight has nothing to do with being anybodies gf.
Seven was used as a marketing tool to promote the show. So if Paramount is going to spend X amount of dollars to try and get viewers using her, then people tuning in are going to expect to see her.
It's all about business.

Actually wasn't Data feared by the public in Insurrection but in the end it's just a rehash of storylines just prettied up with the Barbie Borg. And unfortunately she was one of the reasons i stopped watching the show just couldn't be bothered with the Seven show

Actually, she transcended T&A. Great character, terrific actress.

And by the time she was involved with Braga, her storylines were decreasing. I guess you would have known that if you hadn't stopped watching the show.

As to thread subject:

Least favorite character: Janeway. But she does have good taste in beverages.

Favorite character: Seven of Nine. Those magical nanoprobes were ridiculous.

My least favorite Voyager character is Chakotay. What I like about him is that he has the pair to disagree with Janeway. And insist on disagreeing.

My favorite character from Voyager is probably the Doctor. What I hate about him is that in the early seasons he was always butting in and making video calls and being utterly annoying. Though I think that was the point.

She may have been added to appeal to a certain demographic, but she transcended that.

Knowing Joe from the TOS forum I'd say he's just fooling around with us. One probably shouldn't take him too seriously. He's actually a rather decent guy. But he has a weird sense of humor.

I can't believe I'm the first to say this... but my least favorite character was Naomi Wildman. Especially when the other Borg kids came on board... that was the point Voyager got a little weird for me. I understand the idea of exploring Seven's maternal instincts, and how her experiences with the Borg changed her, but even with all that she's still human at her core... but Naomi was just plain annoying at times, and was channeling far too much Wes Crusher at times for me. Her relationship with Neelix was cute, in a guy who drives a creepy van without windows way, but that character just seemed completely superfluous to me and I think the series would have been fine, if not better, without her.

That said, she did grow up to be pretty hot in the future... eventhough Icheb was still a raging tool.

Least favourite: Neelix (Kill it, kill it now!) though the amusement value of his persona richocheting off of Tuvok was/is near-priceless.

Favourite char: Seven of Nine, an energising, anti-patriarchy persona akin to Janeway's boot'em in the nuts approach, (my silly opinion)... until she fell for the wooden-block-ala-Chakotay. *Sigh*

My least favourite character was Kes. I absolutely hated her but I think that the evil Kes from Fury was a breath of fresh air and more than tolerable.

I loved the Doctor but disliked his love of opera.
