Say Something Positive About Your Least Favorite Character ...

Seven Of Nine is my least favorite. I guess it's because she replaced Kes and the way the character was marketed in that catsuit.

However, the character had an interesting background story, had good potential, did create some drama and was excellently played by Jeri Ryan.

If I should write something negative about Kes, who happens to be my favorite character, then it will be about the nine-year lifespan and that "one-child syndrome". Those abilities were ridiculous, ruined the Ocampa and were a flaw for Kes too.

I loved them all but also hated idea of a race that had such a short life span. and if they could only reproduce once - mathematically they'd never be a viable species.

Somehow I sense a theme there ...

I wanted to thank everyone for their contributions to this thread. I think it's nice that although we all have our favorite characters (who we often love with a very subjective passion), we can still be realistic about them and name their shortcomings. Conversely it's also nice that most of us can find something to like in the characters we usually despise.

My least favorite character was Janeway. At least she didn't succeed in blowing up the ship all those times she tried.

My least favourite character is Chakotay. But he was a good friend, especially to B'Elanna.

My favourite character is Janeway. But I don't like how obsessed she got with trying to capture Captain Ransom in Equinox.

My favorite is The Doctor, but he's a screen time hog and has too many niggling pursuits.

Least favorite: BT. She was well-acted despite being poorly-written. The character had an interesting back story.

Favorite: Seska. She died a pointless death.

I'm surprised so many don't like Seven, I thought she was an awesome character and an awesome actress and holding a grudge against Seven because of what she did as a drone is nonsensical.

My favorite - Seven of Nine, I liked her but I do think too much attention was paid to her sometimes.
My least favorite- Harry Kim, he had a nice face.

My least favorite is Neelix. His make-up was well done.

My favorite was Tom Paris, but I think they buried him killing his three friends at the Academy too soon.

My favourite changes weekly, but lets say this week it's the Captain... love her to death but her overacting in the early seasons got a bit tiresome! And all that pointing with her two fingers... enough, Katie!

Least Fav - Tom Paris, But he was a pilot and flying planes, starships are cool.

Most Fav- Kathryn Janeway, She rather let a borg take her man then fight for him!

Least favourite - Kes. But she is very cute and has quite a nice voice, in a "Late-Night Love on Capital FM" kind of way.

Favourite...Chakotay. He can be a bit of a sissy. Needs lessons from Kirk - more shirt ripping and fist fighting, etc.

Oddly enough, only here. Other boards I've been to speak highly of the character.

Sorry but they had already done the find their humanity bit with Data and over did it at that. Additionally having the rest of the cast put to the back sit for the producer's (or whatever he was) girlfriend is extremely sad.

My least favorite is the Doc. he acts too prissy. But I like the fact that he does have enough manhood to have a crush on Seven of Nine.
My favorite is Seven of Nine because she is more than a hottie she has brains and intellect. What I like least about her is the fact that she is rude and arrogant at times.

Data wasn't taken as a child and brain washed to enslave others.
Data was never feared by the mass public.
Data isn't considered dangerous.
The difference between Data & Seven is redemption.

Seven in the spotlight has nothing to do with being anybodies gf.
Seven was used as a marketing tool to promote the show. So if Paramount is going to spend X amount of dollars to try and get viewers using her, then people tuning in are going to expect to see her.
It's all about business.

My least favorite character is Seven of Nine, however I enjoyed her interactions with the kinderborg and thought her mentoring them was a good character choice.

Three way tie for favorite so:
Janeway, holo-boyfriend... I mean seriously.
Chakotay, first officer syndrome.
Kes, that stupid wig in the first few eps.
