''Save over 400 dollars a year!''

Would you spend $400+ a year on coffee?

I'm not opposed to buying coffee at shops like Starbucks, or the Coffee People, etc., but I like to have coffee in the morning, in my home or as I'm leaving in a thermos or a covered cup. Which means that I buy coffee to brew there. I buy very good coffee, so the bill is just around $200 a year. That's off the top of my head.

If you figure in another $70 for half and half it's still under $300.

Who the hell spends 400 dollars a year on coffee?! I don't know about you, but I can't afford any unecessary product at $400 a year. That's the kind of money newly found alcoholics and well-in smokers would spend on habbits each year. It's unsettling.

I'm sure the vast majority of people posting on this forum spend at least $400 a year on items not essential to their mere survival. I don't drink coffee but I have my own expensive habits. As long as people are aware of the amount they are spending and it is something they can afford, I don't find this unsettling in the slightest.

I only spend like $100 a year on coffee... I rarely make it at home, and once a week or less I'll get one of the cans next to the energy drinks.

Now, if someone an find a way to save me $400 a year on 5 Hour Energy, I'll be very happy.

I stop in at my local Starbucks every morning on my way to work, and my large regular coffee is $2.05. I'll have a second cup on days when I have an early-morning meeting (which is about once a month), so all told, I probably spend $750+ per year on coffee.

It could be much worse. Back when I used to work at Sears I was probably drinking five or six cups per day. (Mind you, they were from the office coffee maker, and we had to pay something like 25 cents per cup, so I was spending less while drinking more.)
