Plus some Jack Daniels and some other stuff which hasn't arrived yet (watch, some other stuff). And technically I got some TNG era rank pins for free, I'll accept them as a Christmas gift ;)

It's been a wonderfully geeky Christmas.

James, was it you who has a girlfriend that posts here as well? I think you had mentioned you were excited to give her the gifts you bought her. You didnt want to say what they were b/c you were afraid she would see the post. Can you tell us now?

Randi, go look at the Pictures thread - Raven_Shayde has posted her haul there :)

Yeah - they're all in there and I'm glad to say she was thrilled. I I seem to have brought out the geek in her :D

Santa was good to me this year, yet more in the quality of his gifts rather than quantity.

Firstly, I got to spend Christmas at home with family, something I haven't had in a long time. I got to spend quality time with my parents and it was nice not being alone and lonely for Christmas.

Next I got a white Christmas, after so many brown ones where I was living before. Somehow Christmas seems even more commercial when it isn't magically white.

And lastly I got something I've wanted for awhile: a decent office chair for my computer desk. Now I don't feel like a kid sitting at an adult's table and the screen is a a proper eye level.

and the highlight of it all was getting a Bissell Steam Pet Cleaner

I have one of those but the dang dogs won't stand still long enough for me to use it!

Still haven't opened presents yet. My sister and her family are flying in this morning so we'll exchange this afternoon. :)

Santa didn't bring me anything :(, but my boyfriend :) got me the following lovelies:

A Kitchenaid Stand mixer, in red
Flight of the Conchords, Seasons 1 and 2
Photoshop fridge magnets (that sounds lame but is sooooo not to a geek like me)

The boyfriend's grandma gave me:
A handmade funky red fuzzy hat that's either awesome or hideous; I can't decide but I like it either way
A ceramic candle holder

I said I wasn't going to spend any money, but I did anyway. I bought for my boyfriend:
A camelback hydration pack thing for hiking
A bottle of Kentucky bourbon
A two disc Akira Kurosawa samauri movie set

Boyfriend's grandma got a nice set of salt and pepper grinders, which she really needed after her old set broke all over dinner back in July and we ended up ordering takeout.

My friends and I are having a new year's gift exchange, so I don't know yet what I'm getting from them. I gave them bottles of homemade Irish Cream.

I technically got nothing for Christmas, which is also my birthday.

For some reason the people upstairs at a building I clean, left me a $10.00 gift card to Olive Garden, but I don't eat there. Since I couldn't afford to get anybody anything for Christmas (after my monthly bills and expenses, I got $0.00 to $5.00 left), I've decided rather than eat something I won't fully enjoy, I'll send the gift card to my really, really old grandmother. Seems like the right thing to do.

I do, however, have some belated stuff coming my way. Some unknown stuff from three family members, and for some reason a fellow board member at another messege board too pity on me and bought me something, so it should arrive in a few days (don't know why, I never asked for pity or implied/tried to get it). Anyway, super kind thing of the guy to do. I've actually done similar nice things like that myself in the past. So in a few weeks I'll have four packages.

But Christmas/my birthday has no friends, no family, no presants.

Oh really, kimc? I take it your dogs HATE the thing and bark at it like maniacs? Our animals don't like it either..they keep smelling it and run like the wind whenever I turn it on. But that thing works WONDERS on the carpets. They have NEVER looked SO CLEAN! I'm only gonna use the thing maybe once a month on the floors because I don't wanna ruin it with all the gunk. :D But our Christmas this year was very small and yet I felt like I got what I wanted even though it was small. :) I wanted some money to get my hair done but I've been getting paid for our garage sale so I'm not gonna complain about that. :)

My mom bought me V: The Final Battle and V: The Complete Series on DVD. :D

My dad bought me an Old Spice Gift Pack (the Cologne and Deodorant) and a Canoe Gift Pack (the cologne and the lotion), and I like both of these. :)

My brother bought me a runner's jacket from Old Navy. It feels nice. :D

All in all, I did pretty good. I'm just happy people remembered me! :D

Well at 7am on Christmas Day Sergeant Santa gave me a 52 year old male who had died of heart-related issues in his hallway and the 11 other members of the family that were in the house for christmas weeping over the unopened presents.

That was fun.

But on getting home I was given a limited edtition Giclee of Sarah Jane Szikora's Not Ready To Go Yet which cheered me up somewhat.

One of the gifts my son gave me was the Star Trek SCENE IT? game. We (me, he and my husband) played it the other night and it was great fun. Received some other Trek gifts as well, which made it a wonderfully geeky Christmas!

HUGO RUNE-- that poor family. Christmas will never be the same for that family again. And only 52 years old! OY!

Im going to get that TREK scene it game...I was hoping X360 would sell it as an add-on to the scene we have on the x360 but I guess they aren't...

Well we had our gift exchange and I did pretty well since this year we were "cutting back". I got a new charm bracelet with seven new charms, new towels, sheets, some cashmere sweaters, Chanel #19 perfume (the real stuff!), a beautiful winter white purse knit by my mom as well as other smaller items including the new Harry Potter dvd.

I've been SO good cause I got... a handbag, wait... two handbags, eye shadow, nail varnish, lipstick, two mascaras including a gold one :D , blusher, a sequined bolero, two books, necklace, soap and glory stuff, writers yearbook 2010, Monsoon vouchers, gloves, bobble hat - woooooo hooooooo :)

I'm so lucky.

KIMC: i LOVE charm bracelets! Some girlfriends and i were just talking about them too.

Dangermouse: What is a bobble hat?

This new version of Windows is really cool. I opened up the browser, went to the board, found this thread, and created this post without ever touching the keyboard or the mouse! :techman:

Santa brought me an iTouch and a Smartphone this year :D And my brother got me some smell-good from Victoria's Secret in my favorite scent of all time, Appletini. Those were my three favorite gifts. I also received a Mossey Oak skirt, a hand crocheted scarf/hat duo in hounds tooth, and various forms of SEC Championship gear. It was wonderful :)

And there were Pop Rocks in my stocking. I was delighted!
