Santa brought you????

  • A JVC Everio Digital camcorder (from my mother's family)
  • Kodak digital camera
  • Samsung pocket digital video camera (similar to a Flip-both from my parents)
  • Several new (old) Transformers for my collection
  • A new pocket knife
  • More than $200 in gift cards and cash
  • two new bed comforter sets
  • From my best friend, the ST XI Phaser
  • A Captain Kirk uniform shirt from my mother, along with a Starfleet delta belt buckle.
Quite a good haul this year. Kinda overwhelmed by all the cameras...I mean, I rarely get a chance to use a video camera, and I'll be using the Everio when I do...a still camera is always handy, but the Samsung...not sure what I'll do with it. And it's a hall of a lot of memory cards to buy...

The ST XI phaser is awesome. I have two young boys, so I have two of them, and when I see one sitting all alone, it's hard to resist picking it up and having some fun. I keep trying to tell myself I'm soon to be thirty, but it's not working. :alienblush:

Well it was different for me today.

It was cold all night and most of this morning...it is still 50 in my room.
The fridge is not full of food.
No wishes from anyone in my RL.
Safety? Given where I live and the stuff that goes on...it isn't safe.

I am glad you all are having a good holiday...because if you were going through what I am now you would being crying.
I'm very sorry to hear this. I feel your pain with the cold room. I was without heat for eleven days and just got a new furnace this week. I hope things turn around for you and your new year overcompensates for your current hardships.

TARDIS USB Hub
That's a cool item. My Mother gave that to my Brother last year, on my recommendation.

As for this year, I was surprised. I was expecting True Blood and Vega$ and got Bones and Three Stooges. I also got Volume One of the hardcover Complete Bloom County (which contains some of the precursor strips from Brethed's college years), a reproduction of the 1897 Sears Catalog and a miniature Stonehenge (assembly required :D). Also candy, handheld games, and various odds and ends. Oh, and the Hurley action figure. And new socks.

The Gamestop pre-order of Star Trek Online
Dragon Age Origins for the Xbox 360
Fringe season 1 DVD box set
Borderlands for the Xbox 360

Those are my top four favorite.

Jetfire is having a worse XMas than Charlie Sheen. Sorry, man.

2 belts - yay...practical gifts.
Assorted food, salsa, chips, summer sausage, caramel chocolates, english toffee, hot cocoa mix (i.e. shit you get for people you don't really know)
$25 Target gift card (Hey, kids remember when $25 could buy some stuff?)
A few GI JOE comic books, but not ones I needed to rebuild my vintage collection,...so meh.

No matter how much I lower my expectations, Xmas is always a let down. At least it's almost over.

And I've got heat.

My most awesome gift was seeing my wife taking pictures of my daughter's first Christmas. :)

As far as a material gift, I got a digitial voice recorder from my wife. Second place was my new gym bag. Third was the District 9 blu-ray my daughter got me. I hope it's good!

Although the material gifts were delightful, nothing outshined the magic of Christmas exuded by my daughter.

And a very close second was the musicmaking from all of the groups I had the privilege to be involved with last night and tonight. The musicianship and the depth of the souls of those who sang and played was... well, enough to make this grizzled old teacher cry.

Jesus is the reason for the season, yes, but the JOY of the things that come with the season can melt even the iciest hearts.

Merry Christmas to all, <sniffle> and to all a Good Night!

Santa brought me a lovely navy twin-set from Land's End, a Norah Jones CD, a Sting CD, a night shirt, some wooden Christmas decorations and a great red tablecloth for our odd size table.

Hubby got some clothes, pjs, and the Star Trek movie. Woo-hoo!

Oh, and my Mother in Law gave us $2,000.

Two graphic novels based on "Chuck" and "Galaxy Quest". Also, my aunt and uncle used their frequent flyer miles to get me a plane ticket to Japan in March, so I won't have to pay for it myself. That is neat.

From one brother-

The History of Railroads (book)
autobiography of Fred Rogers.

From the other brother and sister in law -

Star Trek (Blu-ray)

From Grandma -

$100

From Mom & Dad:

The Menagerie Hallmark ornament
Adam - 12 Season 3
$50 Gift Card

Oh, and the most interesting thing to happen...

The 4 year old fridge is DOA (suspect compressor)

Running socks
New pair of running shoes
Running watch (anyone seeing a pattern? Don't worry, it's over! )
Terminator: Salvation
Age of Empires III
Monopoly: Star Trek Continuum edition
Axis & Allies

I hope today is better, got to go out and do stuff.
I need to get my mom a power supply for her pc & a router...they are paying for High Speed Internet and her computer is down.

Thanks for all the kind words. :)

I bought one a while back and I'm constantly playing with it. I used a costume as an excuse to buy that and the tricorder... my GF got me the communicator for my birthday to complete the set. I often get funny glares when she hears me pushing buttons!

jamestyler, I'm curious, what does that Trek cologne smell like?

I'm not great at describing scents, so I'll just say - it smells good. I felt like I should be sitting in a chair, crossing my legs and pushing buttons.
