Sanctuary picked up for season 2

I'm glad. I think the series needs some polishing up and can be improved but as far as alternatives on Sci Fi, it's far and away the best new thing they have. The much worse alternatives are the "reality tv" programming that's everywhere now.

I'm so sick of so-called reality television.

That's great news. I love this show. The concept of the Sanctuary is intriguing and the idea that they are out to save the Abnormals, rather than just hunt them and kill them, is very appealing.

I'm happy for the fans, but I gave up after the second episode. I thought the show was just godawful, and the really bad effects didn't help.

My standards for nonsense are pretty simple---if you do nonsense, do it with originality and do it with likable characters and do it with a light touch. Fringe and Terminator and Life on Mars can't make the grade. So I'm pleased Sanctuary is hanging around.

I'll continue to watch it, unless it gets worse. I know it's not fantastic but it's at least it's not bad so I'll give it time to grow.

They cancel both StarGate series back to back, but this shit they leave on the air? What the fuck?

I believe this show is cheap as dirt to make, I've only seen bits and pieces but I understand it started on the internet and uses lots of green-screen instead of actual sets.

Pretty sad state of affairs when Stargate is quality by Skiffy standards. :rommie:

Unless that Warehouse 13 is more interesting than it sounds, soon I will be a sci fi fan that can't find a damn thing worth watching on the Sci Fi Channel. Elsewhere, that's a different story.

I'm still watching the show and I'm definitely enjoying it, so I'm glad it got picked up for a second season.

Personally, I don't see Sanctuary as being any better than Flash Gordon, The Dresden Files, or Painkiller Jane. All fairly poor.

I've no idea what happened to Revolution, but I assume that it's no longer viewed as a series committment possibility, which to me sums up Sci-Fi at the moment, pump out the cheap shit instead.

I saw bits and pieces of Dresden Files as my GF watched it and slowly got more and more interested in it. By the end of the season I was watching the episodes with her, it was pretty interesting.
