Samuel Jackson may not be Nick Fury

I hear they are making Fury white again for the upcoming movies.

The Hoff is said to be the most likely candidate for the part

:p
Incidentally, NICK FURY: AGENT OF S.H.I.E.L.D. (starring The Hoff) is now on DVD, available exclusively from Best Buy.

:o

If they wanted to go back to a white Nick Fury...
Conner Trineer could be an interesting choice. He's a little known, but he's used to sci-fi stuff, plus I kinda think his drawl would help with Nick Fury 616's way with words.
"Awright ya yahoos, lissen up, we're gonna head to AIM island, and shove their ultimate weapon straight up their asses"

If you wantd to stick with the 'black' Nick Fury-Ultimate - then I think Avery Brooks would be the ideal choice. For one, he's bald, has the van dyke, has an awesome deep voice and he's used to playing 'commanding' characters.

I vote for Avery Brooks and not because I'm a Trekkie!

Does MARVEL not like paying black actors :p and seriously my interest in Avengers is close to zero (I know nothing about the comic book) but Samuel L Jackson is one of my favourite actors.

I though Jackson said that his condition for them using his likeness for Ultimate Nick Fury was that he got to play him in any movie they make.

Yeah, but I dunno seems like he's in too many movies now anyway. I'd almost rather have someone else really. Besides, SLJ is used because he says MF'er well. He can be bad ass. Avery Brooks is bad ass and he doesn't have to say MF'er.

Although that would have made DS9 more interesting

"Dukat you slimey Mother-fker."

Maybe the producers just saw Snakes On A Plane, Jumper and or that last Sin City looking thing he just did. Thinking about it, the guy sure has fallen far from his Tarentino days.

Y'know I was thinking who else would be a good Nick Fury... Djmon Honsou, from Blood Diamond. He could be pretty intense.I mean if we go for an 'out of the box' option, he could be interesting. Or... even heh... Keifer Sutherland. I mean at least people look at him think 'Jack Bauer' well Nick Fury's about as Jack as you can get really.

RDJ has had me thinking that even if an actor isn't a 'name' they could still work out well in the role. Granted you need someone that people might know, but still you don't need an actor that's in EVERYTHING.

OR... introduce the concept of LMDs early on. If we see different guys saying 'I'm Nick Fury', we can say they're LMDs that keep the true Nick Fury secret, then when we finally get an Avengers movie, they can introduce the 'real' Nick Fury who will be the main Nick Fury, if they can lock him into a contract. That way they can always go 'Well the second Fury is the real one's actual look.' or something. So they CAN go the route with say, the black Fury, the white Fury being different guys, who knows. Just as long as they don't make it a 'Nikki Fury' and cast Angelina Jolie or something LOL

Maybe Don Cheadle can multi task?

The Pulp Fiction star said: 'Nobody's told me anything, I was reading the trades last week and I saw the cast list. My name was in it, so maybe I am doing something that I don't know about and I'll hear about it soon.'He added: 'I don't know what's going on. Since Disney's bought the franchise, I have no idea what Marvel told them or even if my deal with Marvel is still valid.'

This was Nick Fury. Accept no substitutions.
