Sam Rami to direct Dr Strange 2

Just because one trailer broke your trust, it doesn't mean they all will. I think if you aren't ready to trust this trailer then perhaps it's better to keep things on friendship terms and maybe start seeing other trailers. Maybe you just haven't watched the right trailer yet.
I don't know if there's enough time before the movie comes out for me to find another trailer that will mean as much to me as this one did before it lost my trust.

PIC interviews for the big season 2 promo thingies took place yesterday (they're not published yet) and someone asked Sir Patrick about the Doctor Strange trailer. He can't explicitly say he's in it, of course, but the fact that he knows exactly what the guy is asking about (he usually reacts very differently when he's being asked about things someome saw somewhere, he's usually super confused at first, but not here) and his cheeky face... yeah well. He says as much as he can say without saying it.

- Watch the video quickly, what with all the early promo stuff that gets deleted these days you can never be sure for how long this will be available -

Yeah, that smirk says it all. The cheeky response is the clincher!

Considering it was the interviewer who tweeted it (and said the full version would be up soon), I think it's a safe bet that the clip isn't going anywhere.

I know this kind of thing happens a lot, but I never understand why they don't at least let him say that he's in the movie at this point. It was pretty clearly him, no matter who he's playing, so it seems weird to put that in the trailer, but then not let anybody actually acknowledge it. I could understand not wanting him reveal who he's playing, but this is different.

So how does Patrick Stewart's "denial" (heavy air quotes) compare to Andrew Garfield's denial of being in NWH?

With Garfield we hadn't actually seen any sign of him in the trailers or official promo pictures, so, while everyone expected him and Toby Maguire to be in it, we didn't know for a fact they were, with Stewart, we know for an absolute fact he's in it since we heard and saw him in the trailer.

We know that Patrick Stewart the actor is in the movie; we don't know that Charles Xavier the character is in the movie... and, as I previously stated, Patrick Stewart does not automatically equal Charles Xavier despite what people might believe.

^ This is turning into a sad parade of silly and pointless misdirection, and I think it's going to reflect poorly on Stewart and the people surrounding him.
