Is there any information about the costume worn by Elijah Cook in his role as Samuel Cogley during the Court Martial episode? Description, fabric used, etc?
That's no one's business but Cogley's...Boxers or briefs?

Futuristic? It was my impression that Cogley was intended to look drab and outdated among the bright Starfleet uniforms and scenery. As @Herbert said, he looked like a very old book.
Good point. But then I'd say it was Future Bright vs. Future Drab.
Roddy McDowall's Bookworm costume, minus the hat, would have been good on a younger Cogley. But Desilu wasn't spending that kind of money. And in universe, neither was Cogley. He hasn't been shopping since Kodos declared martial law.[/QUO
I completely forgot about the bookworm costume
I didn't think Cogley's outfit looked tacky at all. In fact, I thought it was a nice blend of futuristic and traditional. I especially like the faux-leather panels in place of lapels. He's got the second-tackiest uniform in COURT-MARTIAL, that's for certain.
Single belly pocket; sharp.I didn't think Cogley's outfit looked tacky at all. In fact, I thought it was a nice blend of futuristic and traditional. I especially like the faux-leather panels in place of lapels.

I looked at it the same way. The guy was a bookish firebrand of an attorney, and dressed accordingly.I never thought much about it. I sort of assumed his outfit was supposed to be a mix of 23rd century style and being a bit (deliberately) out of date, like a bookish professor in our day. I think it worked well.
