Salt Water Nacelles?

starfleetshotcrashing.jpg

Just a thought. Could this ship actually be crashing upside-down, and it's a new interpretation of the Reliant?
I've kind of been thinking the same thing... I really looks upside down to me.

The front of the Engines look like TOS Movie era nacelles, but upside down. Weird how curved the support pylons are, too.

-Ricky

don't think the pylon is supposed to be curved. given the flames/ smoke from the engine i'd safely assume the pylon has buckled from the impact/ crash.

It's a good thing George and Gracie exist in the other timeline and not this one. Between the Narada's drill blasting into the water and frying everything in its path and the debris and ships falling from the sky in this film they would be toast by now.

The nuEnterprise has curved pylons. These look like a very similar curve to me. I don't think the pylons are damaged.

JUST WHERE IS OUR FUTURE, THE THINGS WE'VE DONE AND SAID!
LET'S JUST PUSH THE BUTTON, WE'D BE BETTER OFF DEAD!
'CAUSE I HATE YOU!
AND I BERATE YOU!
AND I CAN'T WIT TO GET TO YOU!

THE SINS OF ALL OUR FATHERS, BEING DUMPED ON US - THE SONS.
THE ONLY CHOICE WE'RE GIVEN IS HOW MANY MEGATONS?
AND I ESCHEW YOU!
AND I SAY, SCREW YOU!
AND I HOPE YOU'RE BLUE, TOO.

WE'RE ALL BLOODY WORTHLESS...

Come on, the thread can't go straight to spam. It has to be about something or it will be closed.

M', meanie

All we see is water falling off of a nacelle. But considering a few seconds later we see the Enterprise crash into an ocean, I'm guessing that after it crashes, repairs are done so that it can lift off again.

If a ship that size crashes into any part of Earth, surely there would be massive devastation?

The new ship crashing into the bay:

1) Either it's Cumberbatch's comandeered ship crashing on the way to Earth...

2) A ship he "detonates" to destroy the fleet from within.

3) It just get's in the way...

Call it nothing more than a pure gut feeling (Stephen Colbert would be proud) but the starship crashing into the bay and skidding toward the shoreline might be one of the orbiting ships that Cumberbatch "detonates" and causes to reenter the atmosphere, plunging to the surface. The ship is probably without power and the controls are offline.

But then who knows.
