Sacred Ground Trailer

I recall the trailer for Sacred Ground implying Janeway might sleep with someone. I thought the voiceover said something like "You won't believe how far Janeway will go to save a crewmember," as it showed a brief clip of her from behind taking her top off.

I didn't get to the see the episode the night it aired, but I asked my friends how kinky they went with it, and they told me the story and how the trailer had been misleading.

When I look on YouTube, I find a more accurate trailer.

Did they play a different trailer when the show was first airing? Am I confusing this trailer/episode with another one? Or did my 21-y/o mind just interpret the trailer above completely differently from my 42.

Sometimes trailers are misleading IMO. In order to generate interest in the upcoming episode. IIRC, when she had to undertake this spiritual quest to save Kes, she had to change into native clothes.

The primary function of a trailer is to hook you into watching whatever it is they're promoting. And they have no qualms about misleading you as to what will actually be presented. As long as they get you to watch, it's mission accomplished. Regard every trailer as a shiny bit of bait, and discern from there.

I think the trailer you are talking about is from "RESISTANCE", when a brief shot of Janeway is pulling her hair down to trick the guard. I remember at the time it aired it was very misleading, since what she ultimately did was pretend she was Caylem's daughter at the end.

I saw 'Resistance' not that long ago and Janeway lures one of the guards by pretending to be a lady of the night. He promptly does not get to have such a good time and is knocked out instead.

Someone else in another thread said the final scene with Janeway comforting Caylem as he lay dying was touching. I thought so too, she gave him forgiveness.
