Sabrina, the Teenage Witch

Sabrina aired a bit after my time, from a target demographic perspective. I'd still tune in occasionally for the aunts though. :D

Also a TGIF'er. :) I was there when "Full House" was on.
ETA: That was back when networks more or less allowed their competitors to have one good night. CBS had the night of Chuck Norris.. NBC had Must See TV Thursday...

BART: Lis, when you get a little older, you'll learn that Friday is just another day between NBC's must see Thursday and CBS's Saturday night crap-o-rama.

Anyway, I always enjoyed TGIF. It was Boy Meets World (which I watched off and on, never really loved it), Sabrina (which I generally watched), and whatever revolving show they tended to put on after. I've seen sporadic episodes from later seasons, but I think I only regularly watched the first three seasons.

... and loved her bitchy cheerleader rival who's name escapes me (Abbey?).

Her name is Libby. There's a tvtrope named after her too.

Same, and her friend in Seasons 2 & 3; Valerie, was the hottest. - Melissa Joan Hart always reminded me of my sister, but MJH did have back.

Beth Broderick, is why I have a weakness for KY accents. I would say that's a coincidence, but it's not; It's because of her.

Best ep is where Sabrina turns Abbey into a nerd only for her to become the Queen of the nerds, lording it over the chess club and making fun of the less intelligent

Libby FTW! :D She was AWESOME! Jenna Leigh Green was just the best.

I also liked Elisa Donovan. :bolian:

Where I live in the early 2000's they would show reruns of Sabrina followed by A Different World. :D

Where I lived, Boy Meets World was on the Disney Channel like Teen Angel and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch was on Nickelodoen, and we never even got You Wish. - That TGIF special was completely lost to us. - We saw what we could of that and I think, once, Disney Channel mentioned it.

A quality sitcom with fun characters and fairly well written stories.

I loved the show and would still watch it in re-runs.
