Oh, another film.
Nope, no enthusiasm whatsoever...
Well, in the interest of balance, not everyone will view this as good news. Then go be a buzzkill somewhere else.
Holy fucking shit!

I was really hoping the JJverse was done and that the mooted Tarantino movie would be a complete change. This looks like a continuation.
Fair points, and although the demise of Kelvin Trek with no replacement wouldn't upset me in any way, the Tarantino project had given me some cause for optimism.Sure, not everyone will see the possibility of more movies of this trek as good news, everyone is entlitled to their different opinions.. however, to be fair, going to a kelvin trek fan board only to comment reasonably good news for its fans with a 'oh no I hoped they'd kill this trek for good because I hate it' may be a tad controversial...
Personally, I'd find it egocentric to want something to stop existing only because I'm not interested about it. With such logic, some franchises that have many fans should get deleted only because I don't get their success or they aren't my cuppa. What you gain from that? It's not like you are forced to watch these movies, anyway.
And I'm unsure how the demise of this trek would necessarily give hope to those trek fans like you who want a different direction. I have a feeling that, either way, you wouldn't get what you want EVEN it there was no more of this trek. However, getting more of this trek doesn't prevent them to do more with trek in general. The opposite.
Looking over SJ Clarkson's resume, this will be her first feature film.
I really, really hope they don't recast Chekov. I loved Anton in the role.I’m interested to see what she brings to the franchise, plus I can’t wait to see the crew again. It will be a little sad that Checkov will probably not be in it for obvious reasons.![]()
There’s always Arex from TAS.I really, really hope they don't recast Chekov. I loved Anton in the role.
Hoping for Jaylah to return as well.
All in all, good news though. Life on Mars and Hustle are two of my favourite shows.
I doubt that, somehow. There’s always Arex from TAS.
