Russell T Davies yes/no

Jokes are supposed to be funny. That was not; it was simply disgusting.
No, it was funny.

Nah, not funny. Also not disgusting or worth getting in a snit about though - too bland for that.

Oh! I know a funny Joke!

A hydrogen atom walks into a bar, the hydrogen atom says 'I think I've lost and electron'
The barman says 'Are you sure?'
And the Hydrogen atom says
'Yes. I'm positive.'
:guffaw:

That doesn't offend people does it?

Let's hope we get an awesome sixth season so that those who heroically suffered through watching a tv show they didn't enjoy can finally get over it.

Don't be silly. These are fans we're talking about. Naturally they won't enjoy it and will find something to be upset about -- outraged that the Blinovitch Limitation Effect was ignored or some such.

Gosh golly gee. Isn't that what's great about all being individuals? That we can all like or dislike different things. Oh shit, I'm sorry. We're all supposed to march in step with each other...

RTD is the greatest thing ever. The man is a god and definitely the greatest writer ever in the universe!

There. I've crossed over. I love you Sci! Now give me my holiday hug dammit!

C'mon guys, of course people will get a little snippy when someone disagree with something they care about. Its how the internet works.

How insecure does one have to be to feel pressured or oppressed because a lot of people disagree with them, or even hold the opinion that their opinions are silly? I mean, this group behavior is in the Internet's DNA; Al Gore hath ordained it.

Really? Half the forum seems to consist of posts bashing RTD/Tennant these days, ever since RTD's run ended, curiously enough. It's somewhat annoying and the reason I more or less stopped posting here for months.
I'm sorry that people are posting things you don't like. I'm also sorry there are people who don't care much for RTD's or Tennant's work and have the gall to voice their opinions.

Well if it is as good as series 5 was it should be fine.

You seem to have made some negative experiences on another board and I'm sorry but it seems kind of counterproductive to drag those feuds into here.
Yes, I poked fun at another board in a joking manner after someone made a joke about this place is turning into "Gallifrey Base". So what? I'm not making post after post or thread after thread about how I don't care much for that board. If I was I could see why you would call me out on the carpet for it, but all I did was make one joke about the place. I wasn't draging any feuds from there to here. I was making a joke!

Well, sometime you just can't please fans. They will just going to moaning and bitching.
It's amazing how someone with the user name Doctor King could be so intolerant of others.

I like Russell T. Davies' work, and hope to see him come back and write many more story lines in the future. The Smith/Moffat Who just isn't doing anything for me.

There's just something about Moffat's writing that seems unfinished. I like the ideas he has for his stories, but it's almost like he only writes rough drafts without going back to make revisions. His stories are all over the place.

I'm not impressed with the Smith DW, but the Moffat DW increasingly appeals to me.

Yeah, maybe it's a charisma thing. For me, Smith doesn't have it. I can't help it, when I think Doctor Who, I think David Tennant.

Tennant, with Eccleston as a very strong second. They were first and foremost both more experienced, less callow actors than Smith - but yeah, charisma and basic attractiveness figures into it too.

Tennant would be my least favourite of the three modern Doctors. I think series 5 is my favourite series so far with first being my second favourite and series 4 being my third favourite.

Eleven is all right, Rory too, but Amy doesn't do anything for me. She's worse than Martha for me because her characterisation doesn't really add up.
I was disappointed by series 5, too. Which is odd because I loved all the Moffat stories we got before. There were some really good ideas but overall, the stories were lacking most of the time. Vincent and the Doctor was outstanding, though. The Christmas special has made me optimistic we'll get to see a better sixth season.

Indeed. While I like Smith's Doctor, David Tennant is still the Doctor for me. When the Doctor came down the chimney at the beginning of the special, even though I knew better, part of me was still expecting to see David Tennant.

I think some of the opposition to Smith is similar to Peter Davison when Tom Baker left. Tom Baker was even in the role much longer then Tennant was.
