4: The Cybusmen, these are not Cybermen....just sad, stomping Ironman lookalikes. And I refuse to believe that Lumic made that many of them that they appear in EVERY Cyber story....bring back the Mondas Cybermen, please.

Compromise: Bring back the Mondasian Cybermen, but don't change the redesign unless a minor slimming/lightening. Though this might have already happened in The Pandorica Opens.

5: Almost every female companion trying to jump the Doctor's bones.

Of the three major female companions of the Davies era, only two wanted/tried to "jump his bones" - and only one had a shot. Granted, that's technically "almost every" but two out of three isn't some vast proportion. Toss in Jack Harkness, but that's in danger of turning from character trait to punchline...

There was no sexual or romantic tension between Ten and Donna - right from the outset it's denied, and it never develops. So not so much inherent as "likely" or "probable." And of course Ten never reciprocated Martha's feelings, but I guess that counts as sexual tension...

We got the delightful Joan Redfern and River Song instead, though.

And of course, the TARDIS is no mere car. "Yacht" or "private jet" would be better.

I wouldn't object to that per se. Though I hope they go out of their way to avoid that ridiculous "Parallel Earth that flew out of the solar system" bullshit.

I'd toss in Astrid and Christina, too -- they both wanted to join him in the TARDIS, after all, and both obviously had a thing for him.

I don't agree. That's not to say that they had feelings for each other per se, nor do I mean that they would ever choose to act on it. But there's always at least a little tension there when a heterosexual man and woman are living together. Even considering how often and how vehemently the Doctor and Donna would deny they were a couple -- to me, it's clear that neither one had real feelings for each other, and neither one would ever act on it, but, every now and then, they probably looked at each other and wondered for a second.

And of course, the TARDIS is no mere car. "Yacht" or "private jet" would be better.

Obviously I'm being a bit facetious there. Though, by Time Lord standards, a Type 40 TARDIS is the equivalent of a Ford Pinto from the 70s that hasn't had any maintenance done.

Well, that's why I said "major female companions." Because you've also got Lynda with a Y, Reinette, Joan Redford, and River Song (though obviously the last two were far more significant); they didn't all want to join him in the TARDIS, of course. But that's fair enough, and I maintain that Lady Christina would've made a fantastic companion. Ahh, what ifs...

Well, then that's just a difference in standards for "sexual tension" I guess. The being mistaken for a couple was always played for a laugh (and was a nice running joke), but sure, every now and then no doubt they looked at each other and thought about it. I just wouldn't call that sexual tension myself. Even the one time they kissed was hilarious (and probably followed up by one of those "hmm..." moments). And after Rose and Martha's stories, I think that was the right move.

The material in the 80s suits is not tin foil-it's some kind of material also used by astronaughts.

Actually in Earthshock, Five Doctors and Attack, they're military/police/coast guard-issue flight suits with the outer layer removed so that the tubing for pressurisation to prevent G-lock is exposed. The soldiers in Earthshock just wear the same suits, as they come from the army-navy stores...

As for the current Cybes, all they have to do is take off the C from the chest. That'd do for me.

Don't like their designs, either....and simply having them appear in the Cybus design would be a cheap move....especially explaining now why they are goose stepping morans with no personality.....and yes, classic Cybermen has personalities. I liked that the Cybermen changed their appearences over the years.

They really had a creepy factor in The 10th Planet....being all zombie like, and knowing that there's organic material tucked in amongst all that metal and plastic...is quite nastier than just a brain in a suit, who could make Al Gore bored to tears. Tenth Planet, Revenge, and Earth Shock had some neat examples of them showing off personalities and so on....plus working in the shadows, I felt, was more effective than in your face that the Cybusmen do.
