The trailer confirms, for those of us on this side of the pond who were wondering, that the special does come out on Disney+ on Christmas Day.

(I swear I saw an official poster that said December 26 but it probably wasn't actually official...)

After a couple of years of being a regular on Coronation Street, where Millie Gibson also worked before joining Doctor Who (not at the same time), and several years as a lead character on Law & Order: UK.
Ahh, so he is also an actor, too.
*sighs* Schade, that means, that there's no chance, that we could actually see Alexander Bommes in a Tatort, in any other capacity, than a Cameo. (Bommes is the host of our version of "The Chase", called "Gefragt - Gejagt", and he is a journalist, sports-commenter and game-show-host. And Tatort is in Germany as big as Doctor Who is in the UK.)

A couple of things from RTD. From calling the Disney+ BBC arrangement a "experiment" and sounding like having no confidence in streaming

"It's still a BBC show. ... It's a lovely experiment, we've had a great time. We don't know if there's a third series yet, it'll go out in the summer, then they'll decide, and the BBC will decide as well on its future

Davies with...interesting wording here. Calling the Disney+ partnership, which at one point was to solidify the show widespread exposure for years and years, an 'experiment', and now it's not just Disney that are indecisive of the future, but the BBC as well now. You'd think with all that talk of 'successful exporting' lately it'd make sense for them to be a bit more confident than Disney.

Davies went on to say that there are “too many streamers and too much money, not everyone is watching these things, it can’t be financially viable.”

Well, that's pretty much conventional wisdom on the future of streaming, from the jump. The streamers over-invested in programming and high-budget exclusives on the theory that they could soak up a big share of subscribers, then all the other streamers would go out of business, and then they could drop their output to something more sustainable (while jacking up prices, of course).

If you're in the industry, you just want to hold on for the ride and hope you come out in a decent position, career-wise when it's all over. Which makes me sad to think about, a lot of people's livelihoods depend on making these shows, and the whole situation has been set up as a giant game of musical chairs, and tens of thousands of people are going to be left standing when the music stops.

Something clearly changed last Summer.

In June Davies gave an interview in which he said the plan was to start shooting S3 in February once Ncuti finished in TIOBE. In July that changed to no decision until after S2 was broadcast.

He should just move into politics wholesale. He’s got a knack for it.
He’s like Gay, Left-Wing, Welsh, Geeky Boris Johnson at times.

Given Sony own most of Bad Wolf and have a business relationship with Prime maybe time to start talking to Uncle Jeff?

Would be one of life’s little ironies if the biggest two earners for what was BBC Worldwide ended up on there.

“Doctor who on Amazon prime”

20th doctor- Okay bad aliens! Get ready for your close up! It’s prime time!

Fans at home-Ah jeez. They actually said it…..

Episode 8 is explicitly set on 3rd of May 2025, so work back from that and you get 15th March.

Yeah but is that one episode a week? Remember last season they showed the first two on the same day. So we could be looking at 22nd March if they do the same thing (unless you were already factoring that in)
