Russell T. Davies Returns to Doctor Who as New Showrunner

Of the post 2005 showrunners...RTD is an arrogant bully. Chibnall seems to be a nice guy from one interview, but I wasn't keen on his tenure. Steve is arrogant, but a good friend.

The latest theory about the series big bad is that RTD is going to bring in The Trickster from Sarah Jane Adventures and use an abandoned story he had planned for that series where a companion is revealed as The Trickster's child, which was intended for Sarah's adopted daughter Sky in SJA.

Ruby's theme has striking similarity with the theme for The Trickster

That does makes sense, especially since The Doctor name checked the Pantheon of Discord (which included The Trickster) in "The Devil's Chord."

I always wanted to see the Trickster again...but it's going to bring up some tears because of no Sarah Jane. :(

There's no confirmation that the Pantheon of Discord and the Pantheon that Fifteen referenced are the same thing.
What a silly thing to argue when Occam's razor is at play. Davies created them for Sarah Jane Adventures and wrote "The Devil's Chord." Why on earth would he reuse such a specific name if that wasn't what he hinting at? Especially since he loves to leave bread crumbs behind for fans to follow (Bad Wolf says hi).

Names are specific, but only to a degree. The Beatles are a band. So are Motorhead. They are not the same thing.

A pantheon is just a group of gods. Kratos might not see the difference, but their worshippers would.

Because the terms 'pantheon' and 'the pantheon' aren't specific; they're general terms that refer, as @matthunter said, to a grouping of Gods.

If RTD wanted to confirm that the Pantheon of Discord and the Pantheon to which the Toymaker and Maestro belong are the same, he would've done so. Reusing a term like Pantheon isn't in and of itself a confirmation of anything, regardless of whether or not you want to invoke Occam's Razor.

Fair points. However, I'm still going with the most likely explanation considering Davies loves leaving bread crumbs. As far as I'm concerned, it's still a pretty specific term to use here. I guess we'll find out who is correct soon enough.

This is bait. Why scream?

A couple possible reasons come to mind, but there might be others. The easiest one to guess is that something even more "controversial" than "The Timeless Children" will be woven into a story and some people were screaming about that one.

That, or it's a really scary story worthy of Moffat's best.

That, or it's about the end of the universe and all the other multiverses and it all congeals into a big gestaltverse? I've nary a clue.

I'm calling it now: It's all three of those!
