Ron Moore's Virtuality on tonight

I'll be watching. I haven't even heard of it until I saw a commercial yesterday, but after reading a little bit about Virtuality it seems like it could be interesting.

From what I heard the whole plot of the show is really just silly. I actually haven't heard anything good about it.

From the reviews I've seen it's just as complex as BSG. And 25 minutes in that holds up, for me anyway.

The only thing that bugs me so far is that there's a very obvious "Gaius Baltar" character and of course, he's the morally ambiguous reality show producer

And then there's this guy who's HAL 9000/Head Six/TNG's Moriarty all rolled in one. Here's hoping we're not gonna have to wait for the series we're probably not going to get to figure that guy out.

I missed the first quarter or so but I've been watching the rest and it's okay. I must've missed something in the beginning but as a series I don't see this going anywhere.

Somehow I think it was gonna go the "Thirteenth Floor" route if it had been picked up.

I think there were at least three directions it could have gone from the end of the pilot. The least interesting - and probably least likely, based on several factors - would be the murder mystery.

Whatever, it's clear that this wasn't "dumbed down by the network." It's a very well-crafted, coherent piece of work with an awful lot going on.

Not that there aren't nits to be made about parts of the way the premise was developed, but that's true of every fantasy show.

It was okay. I could see tuning in next week to see what happens. Even though I don't watch reality shows, and think they are morally ambiguous.

Too bad I prob won't get that decision. Virtuality had a couple of interesting ideas in it.
