Ron Glass Has Died

Unexpected and very sad. But I can't agree about child molesters equaling a certain segment of movie goers.

Will have to revisit Barney Miller.

:weep:

If this news makes me this sad, Kaylee must be bereft.

I liked him in Barney Miller, but loved him on Firefly.

I usually think "aw that's a shame" to a lot of celeb deaths, but few make me actually genuinely upset. I read this on my break at work a few hours ago and it was definitely one of them. RIP. Love that little clip Joss Whedon put on his Twitter

Very sad news. I'm just barely old enough to remember him in Barney Miller & he was alway good. Was so excited after finding out he was to be part of Firefly.

So we started the year with rock stars of the 70s dying now we're going to end it with TV? Florence Henderson, now Ron Glass.

This is so sad. Ron Glass was such a lovable and charismatic character actor, and so brilliant on Barney Miller. As a teenager, I related to his constant struggles to get published-- I'll never forget how a publisher finally bought his book and changed the title from Precinct Diary to Blood On The Badge. :rommie:

And, of course, he was part of the cast of Firefly, one of the most amazing and perfectly cast shows in history. He brought his usual overwhelming charm and depth to the character-- no one could beat Ron Glass for showing you levels with just the look on his face.

RIP, Ron Glass. :(

I was actually in the middle of a game of Firefly when I heard the news. He played Book very memorably.

RIP Ron Glass

One of the funniest episodes of any TV show ever.

"If I can't drive a car, I'd better not drive a bus!"

RIP Ron Glass. While he was good in Firefly, he will always be Harris from Barney Miller to me

I must admit that I'm not a "Firefly" fan. But I was a big "Barney Miller" fan. RIP, Mr. Glass. I will miss you.

By the way, is anyone aware that his "Barney Miller" co-star, Abe Vigoda, died earlier this year in January?
