It makes me wonder if the Imperial Romulan State will join the United Federation of Planets and we'll just be left with a smaller Romulan Star Empire.
I wouldn't lay odds on the IRS JOINING the UFP, at least at any point in the immediate future. I mean, Daniels says it still takes another two centuries for the Klingons to join, and how long have they been allies with the Federation?
Supposedly. Seeing as how Destiny 3 isn't out yet as far as I'm concerned, I'm not holding out much hope for A Singular Destiny before my birthday in mid-May.Oh come on, the book'll be out in a month or so.....![]()
Don't. That's just me bitching about how S&S's ebook department has gone down the tubes the last few years. That makes me almost feel bad for have[PHPing a copy of Destiny Book 3 in my hand right now. Almost![]()
Hmmm, please do.If the events of The Empty Chair fit into the novel chronology,
Well, there are a few discrepancies, mostly pertaining to the planet Remus,
I still stand by the conviction that "Remus" and Ch'Havran are two separate spheres. I can go into detail,
I would read that. I found the whole post-Shinzon Romulan politics really interesting, which is rather ironic considering it followed off of one of my least favorite Trek movies.I think someone needs to write a whole book about the Romulan political situation between the two factions. It might even take more than two, actually..
I wouldn't expect the IRS to join the Federation. Donatra, although more flexible than the Praetor, is still basically a dictator. Plus, I would have to believe that if the IRS was absorbed by the UFP, it would trigger a major war between the Federation and the RSE. As we know from TNG, even without the Federation doing much to provoke the Romulans, the two powers came extremely close to war several times.
