I hope there is a Pike series - I really do ; BUT that said: Given they have said the Michelle Yeoh lead "Section 31" series will take place in the 23rd century era -- she could be doing some stuff related to that (IE - comm voice over, or some sort of scene involving her communicating with someone, etc. The rumor has been the show won't start filming until May, but they could be doing some second unit stuff they have scripted.

I think the Pike and crew will have some on again/off again integration into the Section 31 series. If a Pike series never happens this is the best way to keep Pike and gang around. if i'm Kurtzman and know a Pike series is not viable, but know the fans are asking for it, I would find a way to include them in Section 31 in some capacity.

But but but, she was nowhere near as stiff and wooden as the character of Number One was originally supposed to be sixty-odd years ago. It was so jarring and totally ruined my suspension of disbelief. What a blatant violation of the hallowed cannnon and an affront to Gene's Vision (R), (c) & TM (patent pending).

She specifically stated she wouldnt be back for S3 of Discovery in the past, so this has to be something else. That being said I would love to see her anything Trek related-She could voice the computers from now on!
